Nursing isn’t just a degree choice – it’s a purpose

At BPP University, we'll support you to be the best nurse you can be.

Build a career grounded in compassion through practical experience and hands-on learning, guided by real-world practitioners on our BSc (Hons) Nursing (Adult) programme. With small cohorts and dedicated one-to-one support throughout your journey, you'll never be just a number.

Through our partnership with Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, you’ll benefit from a unique opportunity to apply for your university place knowing your NHS placements will be at one of the Trust's sites, all located within Bristol and the wider area – giving you a clearer, more secure pathway into your future career.

With access to student finance, at least £5,000 per year through the NHS Learning Support Fund, and an additional £2,500 per year in sponsorship funding from Bristol NHS Foundation Trust throughout all three years of the course, you can train without the financial pressure holding you back.

There are only 15 sponsorship-supported places available in October, so early application is strongly encouraged.

Real experience, not just theory

Build your confidence on the job from day one. Our practice‑first adult nursing degrees give you real clinical experience, supported by experienced practitioners who've lived the career you're stepping in to – not just taught it.

Approved by the NMC

Our degree programmes are fully approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), ensuring your learning meets the highest standards and giving you a direct route to becoming a qualified nurse.

Outcomes that speak for themselves

We train over 4,000 professionals each year across over 165 NHS Trusts, as well as private health and social care providers – so you can feel confident you’re learning what really matters.

Financial support that makes it possible

We know cost can be a barrier to becoming a nurse. That’s why we’ve built in financial support to help you succeed:

  • Access to Student Finance (tuition fee and maintenance loans)

  • £5,000 per year NHS Learning Support Fund (non-repayable)

  • Additional sponsorship funding of £2,500 per year from Bristol NHS Foundation Trust (non-repayable)

With just 15 sponsored places available through Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, this is a highly competitive opportunity.

This means you can focus on your training and future career – not just the cost of getting there.

Who is eligible?

To be considered for sponsorship support, applicants must meet the eligibility criteria set by Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. This includes living within the Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire (BNSSG) area.

Further guidance on eligible postcodes and application requirements will be provided as part of the admissions process.
