The Level 5 Advanced Paralegal Apprenticeship provides you with the knowledge to work competently within the ethical and regulatory framework required for practice as a senior paralegal. Combining higher level academic study with practical, work-based learning, you’ll learn to manage complex legal tasks, apply the law confidently, and gain a recognised university award to support your career progression.

This programme is suitable for Level 3 paralegals looking to advance their career as a senior paralegal.
The Level 5 Advanced Paralegal Apprenticeship would suit roles such as:
Paralegal
Senior Paralegal
Legal Assistant
Legal Administrator
Where will the programme take you?
On successful completion of the programme, you’ll be well placed to undertake more advanced duties within your day-to-day role, and progress to senior positions such as a senior paralegal. You may also progress onto the final two years of the Level 6 LLB Legal Apprenticeship (CLE) or a Level 7 LLB Solicitor Apprenticeship.
This may also be a step towards a Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive qualification.
Who's eligible?
To apply for this programme, you must be employed in a relevant role and meet the following requirements:
Five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English language and maths, or a pass on the BPP Admissions Test; plus
A pass on BPP’s Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship; or
A pass on another Level 3 Paralegal Apprenticeship, which includes modules in Public Law (English Legal System), Contract Law and Tort Law; or
CILEx Level 4, which includes modules in Public Law (English Legal System), Contract Law and Tort Law
