Additional Terms and Conditions for BPP Pass Assurance Scheme
These Additional Terms and Conditions apply to all Applicable Courses purchased on or after 10 January 2022 which offer the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme.
These Additional Terms and Conditions are in addition to the Terms and Conditions and the Website Terms of Use (if you purchase the Applicable Course via the Website) that apply to the sale of any Classroom Course or Online Course.
These Additional Terms and Conditions do not apply to programmes provided by BPP University Limited and therefore do not apply to full-time ACCA courses and any examinations taken in conjunction with a full-time ACCA course. In addition, these Additional Terms and Conditions do not apply to Applicable Courses which are taken as part of an apprenticeship programme provided by BPP and any exams taken in conjunction with an apprenticeship programme.
Please read these Additional Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing an Applicable Course which offers the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme. Please print off or keep a copy of these Additional Terms and Conditions for your records.
BPP will not file or otherwise keep a copy of the agreement concluded between you and BPP and a concluded agreement will not be available from BPP at a future time and date.
By ordering an Applicable Course to which the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies, you confirm your agreement to be bound by these Additional Terms and Conditions.
If there is any conflict between these Additional Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions and the Website Terms of Use, the conflict shall be resolved according to the following order of priority:
• (1) the Additional Terms and Conditions;
• (2) the Terms and Conditions; and
• (3) the Website Terms of Use.

Clauses 1 and 2 apply to all Applicable Courses under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme. In addition, either Clause 3, Clause 4, Clause 5, Clause 6, Clause 7, Clause 8, Clause 9, Clause 10 or Clause 11 will apply depending on the relevant Applicable Course you purchase.
1. Definitions
1.1. Words and expressions defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in these Additional Terms and Conditions except to the extent that they are varied by these Additional Terms and Conditions.
1.2. In these Additional Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the following meanings:
“ACCA Pass Ready Solution” means a package of one taught course, one revision course and one exam practice course purchased together as either a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course (or a combination of the both) in relation to one ACCA Exam;
“Applicable Courses” means part-time Classroom Courses and Online Courses for the qualifications and papers set out in Clauses 3.1, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 8.1, 9.2, 10.1 and 11.1 of the Additional Terms and Conditions, provided by BPP in preparation for the Exams and which offer the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme. For the avoidance of doubt, Applicable Courses do not include any part-time Classroom Courses and Online Courses which form part of an apprenticeship programme;
“Awarding Body” means:
1. in relation to FIA and part-time ACCA, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants;
2. in relation to CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants;
3. in relation to ICAEW, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales;
4. in relation to ATT, the Association of Taxation Technicians;
5. in relation to CTA, the Chartered Institute of Taxation;
6. in relation to AAT, the Association of Accounting Technicians; and 7. in relation to CFA®, Chartered Financial Analyst.
“BPP” means BPP Professional Education Limited;
“BPP Achievement Ladder” means a series of assessments structured as steps on a ladder that increase in scope and complexity. The steps provide the structure to the programme and every step has a recommended due date;
“BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme” means the Lifetime Pass Assurance scheme offered by BPP in relation to the Applicable Courses pursuant to these Additional Terms and Conditions;
“BPP Pass Assurance Scheme” means the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme and/or the BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme, as applicable;
“BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme” means the Standard Pass Assurance scheme offered by BPP in relation to the Applicable Courses pursuant to these Additional Terms and Conditions;
“BPP Study Centre” means any study centre operated by BPP in the United Kingdom;
“Discounted Course” means a discounted enrolment on a CFA Applicable Course (as set out in Clause 9.2) that a Qualifying Student may take at a BPP Study Centre or online with BPP due to that Qualifying Student having previously participated in the same Applicable Course during the Offer Period, but having not passed the Exam relevant to that Applicable Course. The Discounted Course will be provided with a discount of 50% on the full list price of the Discounted Course (as stated on the Website from time to time) at the time of booking. The mode of study for the Discounted Course will be as set out in Clause 9.3. Subject to Clauses 9.6 and 9.7, the Discounted Course excludes the Excluded Items;
“Exam” means any examination paper relating to the Applicable Courses set out in Clauses 3.1, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 8.1, 9.2, 10.1 and 11.1 (as applicable) and which are set by the relevant Awarding Body and sat at a BPP Study Centre or at an Awarding Body’s centre;
“Excluded Items” means the items set out in Clauses 2.6, 2.7 and 2.8 which are excluded from the Free Course and the Discounted Course (as applicable) and which a Qualifying Student must purchase separately at your own cost, if required;
“Free Course” means a free enrolment on an Applicable Course that a Qualifying Student may take at a BPP Study Centre or online with BPP due to that Qualifying Student having previously participated in the same Applicable Course during the Offer Period, but having not having passed the Exam relevant to that Applicable Course. The mode of study for the Free Course will be as set out in Clauses 3.2, 4.2, 5.2, 6.2, 7.2, 8.2, 9.3, 10.2 or 11.2 as applicable. Subject to Clause 9.6, the Free Course excludes the Excluded Items;
“Offer Period” means the period from 10 January 2022 until the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme is withdrawn by BPP;
“Official Course Completion Date” means:
1. in relation to Applicable Courses that are purchased as Classroom Courses or Online Classroom Live Courses, the date on which official tuition relating to that Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course is completed;
2. in relation to Applicable Courses that are purchased as Online Classroom Courses, the date that is 7 days after the commencement of the final stage of that Online Classroom Course.
“Online Classroom Course” an Asynchronous Online Course which does not have a predetermined start date and is available for study by you immediately following delivery by BPP;
“Online Classroom Live Course” means a Synchronous Online Course which is only available for access by you on a predetermined start date;
“Qualifying Student” means any student who has purchased and participates in an Applicable Course at any BPP Study Centre or online with BPP within the Offer Period and qualifies for the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme pursuant to these Additional Terms and Conditions;
2. Additional Terms and Conditions for all Applicable Courses under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme
2.1 In order to be a Qualifying Student under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme, you must meet all of the following requirements in addition to any specific requirements relating to your relevant Applicable Course set out in Clause 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 (as applicable) of these Additional Terms and Conditions:
2.1.1 complete the relevant Applicable Course with BPP, either as a Classroom Course or an Online Course; and
2.1.2 for Classroom Courses and Online Classroom Live Courses, have a full 100% attendance record for the Applicable Course before attempting the relevant Exam; and
2.1.3 have not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course on your first attempt; and
2.1.4 have paid your Course Fees in full by the date upon which those Course Fees were due to be paid under the Terms and Conditions for the Applicable Course; and
2.1.5 notify BPP customer services at the time of booking your Free Course or Discounted Course (as applicable) that you wish to use the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme.
2.2 The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme shall not apply where the requirements of Clause 2.1, and Clauses 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 (as applicable) have not been met in full.
2.3 Subject to the provisions of this Clause 2 and Clauses 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 (as applicable), if you are a Qualifying Student who has purchased and participated in one of the Applicable Courses during the Offer Period, and you do not pass the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course on your first attempt, you will be permitted to book and enrol on a Free Course relating to the same Exam. If you are a Qualifying Student who meets the relevant requirements of the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme (as set out in this Clause 2 and Clauses 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 (as applicable)), and you do not pass the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course on subsequent attempts, then subject to you continuing to meet the conditions of Clause 2 and Clauses 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or 10 (as applicable) and being a Qualifying Student, you will be permitted to book and enrol on further Free Courses until such time that you do pass the same Exam.
2.4 Subject to the provisions of this Clause 2 and Clauses 4 or 11 (as applicable), where a Qualifying Student meets the relevant requirements of the BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme (as set out in this Clause 2 and Clauses 4 or 11, as applicable), only one Free Course (where applicable) will be offered to each Qualifying Student in respect of each Applicable Course purchased. If any Qualifying Student does not pass the relevant Exam following a Free Course, BPP shall not be obliged to offer that Qualifying Student any further Free Course(s). This Clause does not prevent a Qualifying Student from booking and enrolling on any further Classroom Course or Online Course at their own cost.
2.5 The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme and places on Free Courses and Discounted Courses at BPP Study Centres are subject to availability. Free Courses and Discounted Courses must be taken at the same BPP Study Centre that the original Applicable Course was taken. You may be offered an alternate venue if the BPP Study Centre where your original Applicable Course was taken is unavailable on the date requested for a Free Course or a Discounted Course. You may be offered an alternate Free Course or Discounted Course (as applicable) where your first choice of Free Course or Discounted Course is unavailable on the date requested. If you decline any such an offer, BPP shall be under no obligation to provide any Free Course or Discounted Course to you under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme.
2.6 Subject to Clauses 9.6 and 9.7, where Free Courses and/or Discounted Courses are provided to Qualifying Students in accordance with the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme under these Additional Terms and Conditions, the relevant Free Course or Discounted Course (as applicable) shall not include any Study Materials or the cost of any Exams. You will be responsible for ensuring that you acquire, at your own cost, any additional Study Materials which you require for the relevant Free Course or Discounted Course and pay for the cost of any Exams.
2.7 BPP shall only be obliged to provide Free Courses and Discounted Courses to Qualifying Students pursuant to these Additional Terms and Conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, unless specifically stated, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme does not include any additional tuition or revision courses that do not form part of the Free Course or Discounted Course (as applicable).
2.8 The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme does not include any other discount or financial benefit to Qualifying Students and excludes any amounts payable to Awarding Bodies or any other professional body for membership.
2.9 BPP may withdraw the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme at any time in its sole discretion. Any such withdrawal shall not affect students who have purchased and are participating in an Applicable Courses at the date of such withdrawal. Such students shall continue to be eligible for the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme in relation to the Applicable Course which they are undertaking.
2.10 Qualifying Students may not transfer or assign the Free Course or Discounted Course for which they are eligible under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme to any other person.
2.11 In no circumstances shall BPP either: (i) refund your Course Fees nor (ii) provide a cash alternative to the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme, in the event that any Free Course or Discounted Course is unavailable pursuant to Clause 2.5.
2.12 If you have breached, or are in breach of any of the Terms and Conditions, you will not be eligible for the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme.
2.13 BPP may update or amend these Additional Terms and Conditions from time to time to comply with law or to meet its changing business requirements without notice to you. Any updates or amendments will be posted on the Website.
2.14 These Additional Terms and Conditions and any other matters arising out of or in relation to these Additional Terms and Conditions, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any dispute which may arise out of or in connection with these terms and conditions.
3. Additional Terms and Conditions for CIMA
3.1 For the purposes of this Clause 3, Applicable Courses relate to each of the following Exams to which the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme applies:
3.1.1 CIMA Certificate: BA1, BA2, BA3 and BA4;
3.1.2 CIMA Operational: E1, P1 and F1 Objective Tests and Case Study;
3.1.3 CIMA Management: E2, P2 and F2 Objective Tests and Case Study;
3.1.4 CIMA Strategic: E3, P3 and F3 Objective Tests and Case Study.
3.2 Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course. Where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course (excluding Online Classroom Live Courses), your Free Course must also be studied as an Online Classroom Course (excluding Online Classroom Live Courses).
3.3 In addition to the requirements set out in Clauses 3.1 and 3.2 above, you must:
3.3.1 for all CIMA Certificate Applicable Courses, complete and submit steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, before you sit your CBA, and achieve a minimum score of 70% on each step (multiple attempts permitted); and
3.3.2 for all CIMA Operational, Management and Strategic Objective Test Applicable Courses, complete and submit steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the date relevant to the Applicable Course, before you sit your CBA, and achieve a minimum score of 70% on each step (multiple attempts permitted); and
3.3.3 for all CIMA Case Study Applicable Courses, complete and submit steps 1 and 5 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 40% on each step; and
3.3.4 for all CIMA Applicable Courses, book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an Awarding Body’s centre within three (3) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date; and
3.3.5 for all CIMA Applicable Courses, book and commence your Free Course within 3 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
4. Additional Terms and Conditions for part-time ACCA
4.1 For the purposes of this Clause 4, Applicable Courses relate to each of the following Exams to which the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies:
4.1.1 ACCA Knowledge;
4.1.2 ACCA Skills;
4.1.3 ACCA Strategic Professional Essentials;
4.1.4 ACCA Strategic Professional Options.
4.2 The BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 4.1 above when either (i) you purchase the Applicable Course as an ACCA Pass Ready Solution package (for Exams on Sitting ACCA Skills, Essentials and Options), or (ii) you purchase one taught course, one revision course and one exam practice course together as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course (excluding Online Classroom Courses) in relation to one ACCA Exam. Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course.
4.3 The BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in
Clause 4.1 above when you purchase one taught course and one revision course together as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course (excluding Online Classroom Courses) in relation to one ACCA Exam. Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course.
4.4 In addition to the requirements set out in Clauses 4.1 and 4.2 or 4.3 (as applicable) above, for both the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme and the BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme you must:
4.4.1 for all Exams on Demand ACCA Knowledge and ACCA Skills Law Applicable Courses:
4.4.1.1 complete and submit steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 50% on each step (multiple attempts permitted); and
4.4.1.2 book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an Awarding Body’s centre within three (3) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date; and
4.4.1.3 book and commence your Free Course within 3 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
4.4.2 for all ACCA Skills (excluding ACCA Skills Law), ACCA Essentials and ACCA Options Applicable Courses;
4.4.2.1 complete and submit step 1 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission date specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 75% on step 1 (multiple attempts permitted); and
4.4.2.2 complete and submit steps 4 and 6 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step; and
4.4.2.3 book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an Awarding Body’s centre within three (3) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date; and
4.4.2.4 book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
5. Additional Terms and Conditions for ICAEW
5.1 For the purposes of this Clause 5, Applicable Courses relate to each of the following Exams to which the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme applies:
5.1.1 Certificate Level (CFAB): Accounting, Assurance, Principles of Taxation, Management Information, Law, Business, Technology and Finance;
5.1.2 Professional Level: Tax Compliance, Financial Management, Business Planning: Taxation, Business Planning: Insurance, Business Planning: Banking, Financial Accounting and Reporting (IFRS), Audit and Assurance, Business Strategy and Technology;
5.1.3 Advanced Level: Advanced Case Study, Corporate Reporting, Strategic Business Management.
5.2 The BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Professional Level and Advanced Level Applicable Courses set out in Clause 5.1 above when you purchase one taught course and one revision course together as a Classroom Course, an Online Classroom Course, an Online Classroom Live Course, or a blended approach (with a taught Online Classroom Course and revision Classroom Course) in relation to one ICAEW Exam. For Certificate Level Applicable Courses, your Free Course under the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as an Online Classroom Course (excluding Online Classroom Live Courses). For Professional Level and Advanced Level Applicable Courses, (i) where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course, an Online Classroom Live Course (excluding Online Classroom Courses), or a blended approach (with a taught Online Classroom Course and revision Classroom Course), your Free Course under the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme must be studied as an Online Classroom Live Course or an Online Classroom Course; and (ii) where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course (excluding Online Classroom Live Courses), your Free Course must be studied as an Online Classroom Course (excluding Online Classroom Live Courses).
5.3 In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 5.1 and 5.2 above, you must:
5.3.1 for all Professional Level Applicable Courses and for Advanced Level Applicable Courses (excluding Advanced Case Study), complete and submit steps 1 and 5-8 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission date specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step (multiple attempts permitted); and
5.3.2 for Advanced Case Study Applicable Courses, complete and submit steps 1-4 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step; and
5.3.3 book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course within three (3) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date; and
5.3.4 book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
6. Additional Terms and Conditions for ATT
6.1 For the purposes of this Clause 6, Applicable Courses relate to each of the following Exams to which the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme applies:
6.1.1 Personal Taxation, Business Taxation and Accounting Principles, Business Compliance, Corporate Taxation, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates, VAT (excludes Law and Ethics).
6.2 The BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 6.1 above when you purchase one taught course, one revision course, and where available one exam practice course together as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course in relation to one ATT Exam. Your Free Course must be studied as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course. Classroom Courses are only available at certain BPP Study Centres. Please see www.bpp.com for further details of Course dates, available BPP Study Centres and prices or ask a member of the BPP Customer Services team.
6.3 In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 6.1 and 6.2 above, for all ATT Applicable Courses you must:
6.3.1 complete the pre-revision mock and revision mock exams relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 40% in each of these exams (multiple attempts permitted);
6.3.2 book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an Awarding Body’s centre at the next sitting; and
6.3.3 book and commence your Free Course within 6 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
7. Additional Terms and Conditions for CTA
7.1 For the purposes of this Clause 7, Applicable Courses relate to each of the following Exams to which the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme applies:
7.1.1 Advanced Technical Level: Taxation of Individuals, Taxation of Owner-Managed Businesses, Taxation of Major Corporates;
7.1.2 Application and Professional Skills Level: Taxation of Owner-Managed Businesses, Taxation of Larger Companies and Groups.
7.2 The BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 7.1 above when you purchase one taught course, one revision course and, where available, one exam practice course together in relation to one CTA Exam. Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP
Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom
Live Course. Where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course (excluding
Online Classroom Live Courses), your Free Course must also be studied as an Online Classroom
Course (excluding Online Classroom Live Courses). Classroom Courses are only available at certain BPP Study Centres. Please see www.bpp.com for further details of Course dates, available BPP Study Centres and prices or ask a member of the BPP Customer Services team.
7.3 In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 7.1 and 7.2 above, for all CTA Applicable Courses you must:
7.3.1 complete the pre-revision mock and revision mock exams relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 40% in each of these exams (multiple attempts permitted);
7.3.2 book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an Awarding Body’s centre at the next sitting; and
7.3.3 book and commence your Free Course within 6 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
8. Additional Terms and Conditions for AAT
8.1 For the purposes of this Clause 8, Applicable Courses relate to each of the following Exams to which the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme applies:
8.1.1 Foundation Certificate: Bookkeeping Transactions, Bookkeeping Controls, Elements of Costing, Foundation Synoptic Assessment;
8.1.2 Advanced Diploma: Advanced Bookkeeping, Final Accounts Preparation, Indirect Tax, Management Accounting: Costing, Advanced Diploma Synoptic Assessment;
8.1.3 Professional Diploma: Management Accounting: Budgeting, Management Accounting: Decision and Control, Financial Statements of Limited Companies, Professional Diploma in Accounting Synoptic Assessment, Business Tax, Personal Tax, External Auditing, Cash and Treasury Management, Credit Management.
8.2 Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course. Where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course (excluding Online Classroom Live Courses), your Free Course must also be studied as an Online Classroom Course (excluding Online Classroom Live Courses). Classroom Courses are only available at certain BPP Study Centres. Please see www.bpp.com for further details of Course dates, available BPP Study Centres and prices or ask a member of the BPP Customer Services team.
8.3 In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 8.1 and 8.2 above, for all AAT Applicable Courses you must:
8.3.1 complete and submit steps 1 and 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 70% on each step (multiple attempts permitted);
8.3.2 book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an
Awarding Body’s centre within eight (8) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date; and
8.3.3 book and commence your Free Course within 3 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
9. Additional Terms and Conditions for CFA Program
9.1 In this Clause 9.1 the following terms have the following meanings:
“Full Pass Assurance Scheme” means the Lifetime Pass Assurance scheme offered by BPP in relation to the CFA Applicable Courses where, subject to the provisions of Clause 2 and this Clause 9, a Qualifying Student will be permitted to book and enrol on a Free Course;
“Half Pass Assurance Scheme” means the Lifetime Pass Assurance scheme offered by BPP in relation to the CFA Applicable Courses where, subject to the provisions of Clause 2 and this Clause 9, a Qualifying Student will be permitted to book and enrol on a Discounted Course (but not a Free Course);
9.2 For the purposes of this Clause 9, Applicable Courses relate to each of the following Exams to which the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme applies: BPP Level I, Level II and Level III CFA® Program Courses.
9.3 The BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 9.2 above when you purchase one taught course and one revision course together as a
Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course in relation to one CFA Exam. Your Free
Course must be studied as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course. Classroom Courses are only available at certain BPP Study Centres. Please see www.bpp.com for further details of Course dates, available BPP Study Centres and prices or ask a member of the BPP Customer Services team.
9.4 For all CFA Applicable Courses, BPP offers two types of the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme: the Full Pass Assurance Scheme and the Half Pass Assurance Scheme. Where the Full Pass Assurance Scheme applies, Qualifying Students will be permitted to book and enrol on a Free Course pursuant to Clause 2.3. Where the Half Pass Assurance Scheme applies, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Additional Terms and Conditions, Qualifying Students will not be permitted to book and enroll on a Free Course relating to the Exam pursuant to Clause 2.3, but instead will be permitted to book and enroll on a Discounted Course pursuant to these Additional Terms and Conditions. The specific eligibility requirements for both the Full Pass Assurance Scheme and the Half Pass Assurance Scheme are set out in Clause 9.5 below.
9.5 In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 9.2 and 9.3 above, for all CFA Applicable Courses you must:
9.5.1 in order to qualify for the Full Pass Assurance Scheme:
9.5.1.1 complete all steps on the BPP Achievement Ladder and pre-revision mock exams relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 70% on steps 3 and 6 on the BPP Achievement Ladder (multiple attempts permitted);
9.5.1.2 book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a CFA Institute test centre at the sitting relevant to the Applicable Course; and
9.5.1.3 book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
9.5.2 in order to qualify for the Half Pass Assurance Scheme:
9.5.2.1 complete all steps on the BPP Achievement Ladder and pre-revision mock exams relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a score between 60-69% (inclusive) on steps 3 and 6 of the BPP Achievement Ladder (multiple attempts permitted);
9.5.2.2 book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a CFA Institute test centre at the sitting relevant to the Applicable Course; and
9.5.2.3 book and commence your Discounted Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course.
9.6 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Additional Terms and Conditions, and for Level 1 CFA Applicable Courses only:
9.6.1 for the Full Pass Assurance Scheme, Qualifying Students will not have to pay the costs of the Study Materials for the Free Course; and
9.6.2 for the Half Pass Assurance Scheme, Qualifying Students who did not pass their first Exam for the Applicable Course at the February, May or August sittings and who sit their Discounted Course in the same calendar year as their first Exam will not have to pay the costs of the Study Materials for the Discounted Course.
9.7 Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in these Additional Terms and Conditions, for all CFA Applicable Courses where the Half Pass Assurance Scheme applies, Qualifying Students who did not pass their first Exam for the Applicable Course at the August or November sittings and who sit their Discounted Course at the February or May sittings of the following calendar year will be entitled to a 50% discount on the full list price of the Study Materials (as stated on the Website from time to time) for the Discounted Course.
10. Additional Terms for CPI, CPPI, CPCI and JIEB
10.1 For the purposes of this Clause 10, Applicable Courses relate to each of the following Exams to which the BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme applies:
10.1.1 CPI, CPPI, CPCI and JIEB, (excluding the ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency).
10.2 The BPP Lifetime Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 10.1 above when you purchase one taught course and one revision course together as an Online Classroom Live Course in relation to one CPI, CPPI, CPCI or JIEB exam. Your Free Course must be studied as an Online Classroom Live Course. Revision and mock days for the Online Classroom Live Course are delivered face to face and are only available at certain BPP Study Centres. Please see www.bpp.com for further details of Course dates, available BPP Study Centres and prices or ask a member of the BPP Customer Services team.
10.3 In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 10.1 and 10.2 above, for all CPI, CPPI, CPCI and JIEB Applicable Courses you must:
10.3.1 attend all lectures (live or via recordings) for tuition element, and attend all face to face revision and mock days;
10.3.2 submit all course and mock exams relevant to the Applicable Courses by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% in each course exam;
10.3.3 book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course; and
10.3.4 purchase new material should you require hard copy materials. Soft copy material will be provided free of charge in your virtual learning environment.
11. Additional Terms for CFA® Certificate in ESG Investing
11.1 For the purposes of this Clause 11, Applicable Course relates to the following Exam to which the BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme applies:
11.1.1 CFA® Certificate in ESG Investing
11.2 The BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Course set out in Clause 11.1 above when you purchase the Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Live Course. Your Free Course must be studied as an Online Classroom Live Course. Where the BPP Standard Pass Assurance Scheme applies, Qualifying Students will be permitted access to the Free Course for a period of twelve (12) months from the date that access to the Free Course is provided to the Qualifying Student.
11.3 In addition to the requirements set out in Clauses 11.1 and 11.2 above, you must:
11.3.1 book and commence your Free Course within 2 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course; and
11.3.2 provide proof of failure of the Exam to BPP customer services at the time of booking your Free Course.
