Additional Terms and Conditions for BPP Pass Assurance Scheme

These Additional Terms and Conditions apply to all Applicable Courses purchased on or after 28 July 2026 which offer the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme.  

These Additional Terms and Conditions are supplementary and in addition to the Terms and Conditions (published at https://www.bpp.com/terms-and-conditions/classroom-online-terms as updated from time to time by BPP) and the Website Terms of Use (if you purchase the Applicable Course via the Website) that apply to the sale of any Classroom Course or Online Course.

By ordering an Applicable Course to which the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies, you confirm your agreement to be bound by these Additional Terms and Conditions.

These Additional Terms and Conditions do not apply to programmes delivered by BPP University Limited and any full-time ACCA courses or any exams taken in conjunction with full-time ACCA courses. Additionally, these Additional Terms and Conditions do not apply to Applicable Courses which are taken as part of any apprenticeship programme delivered by BPP or any exams taken in conjunction with an apprenticeship programme.

Please read these Additional Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing an Applicable Course which offers the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme. Please print off or keep a copy of these Additional Terms and Conditions for your records.

BPP will not file or otherwise keep a copy of the agreement concluded between you and BPP and a concluded agreement will not be available from BPP at a future time and date.

If there is any conflict between these Additional Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions and the Website Terms of Use, the conflict shall be resolved according to the following order of priority:

  1. these Additional Terms and Conditions;

  2. the Terms and Conditions; and

  3. the Website Terms of Use. 

Any reference to “BPP” means BPP Professional Education Limited whose registered office is BPP House, Aldine Place, 142-144 Uxbridge Road, London W12 8AA, registered in England and Wales under company number 04546335, VAT registration number GB 466 4516 29.

 Clauses 1 and 2 apply to all Applicable Courses under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme.

Additionally, either Clauses 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 will apply, depending on the relevant Applicable Course you purchase.

1. Definitions

1.1   Words and expressions defined in the Terms and Conditions have the same meaning in these Additional Terms and Conditions except to the extent that they are varied by these Additional Terms and Conditions.

1.2  In these Additional Terms and Conditions, the following terms have the following meanings:

“Applicable Courses” means Classroom Courses and Online Courses for the qualifications and papers set out in Clauses 3.1, 4.1, 5.1, 6.1, 7.1, 8.1, 9.1, 10.1 and 11.1 of the Additional Terms and Conditions, delivered by BPP in preparation for the Exams and which offer the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme. For the avoidance of any doubt, Applicable Courses do not include any Classroom Courses and Online Courses which form part of any apprenticeship programme;

“Awarding Body” means in relation to:

Accounting

  • ACCA, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants;

  • AAT, the Association of Accounting Technicians;

  • CIMA, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants;

  • ICAEW, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales;

  • ICAS, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland;

Insolvency

  • CPI and CPPI, the Insolvency Practitioners Association;

  • ICAEW for Certificate in Insolvency only, the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales

  • JIEB, the Joint Insolvency Examination Board;

Financial Services

  • CISI, the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment;

  • CFA®, Chartered Financial Analyst;

  • CFA UK, the UK Society of the CFA Institute;

Tax

  • CTA, the Chartered Institute of Taxation; and

  • ATT, the Association of Taxation Technicians;

“BPP Achievement Ladder” means a series of assessments structured as steps on a ladder that increase in scope and complexity. The steps provide the structure to the programme and every step has a recommended due date;

“BPP Pass Assurance Scheme” means the pass assurance scheme offered by BPP in relation to the Applicable Courses pursuant to these Additional Terms and Conditions;

“BPP Study Centre” means any study centre operated by BPP in the United Kingdom;

“Exam” means any examination paper relating to the Applicable Courses set out in these Additional Terms and Conditions which is set by the relevant Awarding Body and sat at a BPP Study Centre or at an Awarding Body’s centre. An Exam may be either: i) an ‘Exam on Sitting’ which can only be sat on fixed examination sittings set by an Awarding Body; or ii) an ‘Exam on Demand’, which can be taken at any time with no externally set date;

“Free Course” means a free enrolment on an Applicable Course that a Qualifying Student may take at a BPP Study Centre or online with BPP, where that Qualifying Student previously took the same Applicable Course during the Offer Period, but did not pass the relevant Exam (except under Clause 11, where different rules apply). The mode of study for the Free Course is set out in Clauses 3.2, 4.3, 5.3 and 5.4, 6.3, 7.3, 8.2, 9.2, 10.3 or 11.4 (as applicable);

“Offer Period” means the period from 28 July 2026 until the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme is withdrawn by BPP in relation to an Applicable Course;

Official Course Completion Date” means, in relation to:

1.        Classroom Courses or Online Classroom Live Courses, the date on which official tuition relating to that Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course is completed;

2.        Online Classroom Courses, the date that is 7 days after the commencement of the final stage of that Online Classroom Course.

“Online Classroom Course” means an ‘asynchronous’ or ‘recorded’ Online Course which does not have a predetermined start date and is available for study by you immediately following delivery by BPP;

“Online Classroom Live Course” means a ‘synchronous’ or ‘live’ Online Course which is only available for access by you on a predetermined start date;

“Qualifying Conditions” means the criteria to be a Qualifying Student as set out in Clause 2.1 as well as any specific conditions and requirements relating to your relevant Applicable Course set out in Clauses 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 or 11 (as applicable) of these Additional Terms and Conditions; and

“Qualifying Student” means any student who has purchased and participates in an Applicable Course at any BPP Study Centre or online with BPP within the Offer Period and qualifies for the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme pursuant to Clause 2.1 of these Additional Terms and Conditions.

2. Additional Terms and Conditions for all Applicable Courses under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme

2.1     To be a Qualifying Student under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme, you must meet all of the following requirements:

2.1.1          complete the relevant Applicable Course with BPP, either as a Classroom Course or an Online Course; and

2.1.2          not have passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course on your first attempt and be able to provide proof of such failure to BPP; and

2.1.3          have paid your Fee(s) in full by the date they were due under the Terms and Conditions for the Applicable Course; and

2.1.4          notify BPP customer services at the time of booking your Free Course that you wish to use the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme; and

you must also meet any additional conditions for your Applicable Course set out in Clauses 3 to 11 (as applicable). Together, these are the Qualifying Conditions.

2.2     The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme shall not apply where the Qualifying Conditions have not been met in full.

2.3     If you do not pass the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course after taking a Free Course, you may book and enrol on a further Free Course for the same Exam. You may continue to do so each time you do not pass, until you pass that Exam, provided that on each occasion you remain a Qualifying Student and continue to meet the Qualifying Conditions.  This Clause 2.3 is subject to Clause 2.4.

2.4     The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme operates subject to the rules of the relevant Awarding Body. Where an Awarding Body limits the number of times you may sit or resit an Exam, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme will apply only up to that limit. Once you have exhausted the attempts permitted by the relevant Awarding Body, BPP shall be under no further obligation to provide a Free Course in respect of that Exam, and no refund or cash alternative will be offered.

2.5     Places on Free Courses at BPP Study Centres are subject to availability. Your Free Course must be taken at the same BPP Study Centre at which you took your original Applicable Course. If that BPP Study Centre, or your first choice of Free Course is unavailable on the date you requested, BPP may offer you an alternative venue or an alternative Free Course.  If you decline any such offer, BPP shall be under no obligation to provide any Free Course to you under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme.

2.6     Where Free Courses are delivered to Qualifying Students in accordance with the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme under these Additional Terms and Conditions, the relevant Free Course shall not include any Study Materials or the cost of any Exams. You will be solely responsible for ensuring that you acquire, at your own cost, any additional Study Materials which you require for the relevant Free Course and pay for the cost of any Exams.

2.7     BPP shall only be obliged to provide Free Courses to Qualifying Students pursuant to these Additional Terms and Conditions. For the avoidance of doubt, unless specifically stated, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme does not include any additional tuition or revision courses that do not form part of the Free Course.

2.8     The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme does not include any other discount or financial benefit to Qualifying Students and excludes any amounts payable to Awarding Bodies or any other professional body for membership.

2.9     Classroom Courses are only available at certain BPP Study Centres. For further details of course dates, prices and available BPP Study Centres visit www.bpp.com or ask a member of the BPP Customer Services team.

2.10     BPP may withdraw the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme at any time in its sole discretion. Any such withdrawal shall not affect students who have purchased and are participating in an Applicable Course at the date of such withdrawal. Such students shall continue to be eligible for the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme in relation to the Applicable Course which they are undertaking.

2.11     Qualifying Students may not transfer or assign the Free Course for which they are eligible under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme to any other person.

2.12             In no circumstances shall BPP either: (i) refund your Fees; nor (ii) provide a cash alternative to the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme, in the event that any Free Course is unavailable pursuant to Clause 2.5.

2.13             If you have breached or are in breach of any of the Terms and Conditions, you will not be eligible for the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme.

2.14             BPP may update or amend these Additional Terms and Conditions from time to time to comply with any applicable law or regulatory requirement, to reflect changes required by an Awarding Body, or for another reasonable reason. BPP will give you reasonable notice of any material change that adversely affects your existing entitlement under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme and any updates or amendments will be posted on the Website.

2.15             To the extent that BPP discontinues an Applicable Course to which the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies, BPP shall give reasonable notice and where possible, may offer affected Qualifying Students alternative arrangements that BPP considers appropriate, which may include access to an alternative Applicable Course (if achievable), extended access to learning materials or continued access to BPP’s VLE or Hub (as applicable).

2.16             These Additional Terms and Conditions and any other matters arising out of or in relation to these Additional Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts to settle any dispute which may arise out of or in connection with these Additional Terms and Conditions.

3. Additional Terms and Conditions for CIMA

3.1                   For the purposes of this Clause 3, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the Applicable Courses and the following Exams:

3.1.1          CIMA Certificate: BA1, BA2, BA3 and BA4;

3.1.2          CIMA Operational: E1, P1 and F1 Objective Test Exams and Case Study;

3.1.3          CIMA Management: E2, P2 and F2 Objective Test Exams and Case Study;

3.1.4          CIMA Strategic: E3, P3 and F3 Objective Test Exams and Case Study.

3.2                Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course. Where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course your Free Course can only be studied as an Online Classroom Course.

3.3                   In addition to the requirements set out in Clauses 3.1 and 3.2 above, you must:

3.3.1          for all CIMA Certificate Applicable Courses, complete and submit steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, before you sit your Exam, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step (multiple attempts permitted); and

3.3.2          for all CIMA Operational, Management and Strategic Objective Test Applicable Courses, complete and submit steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the date relevant to the Applicable Course, before you sit your Exam, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step (multiple attempts permitted); and

3.3.3          for all CIMA Case Study Applicable Courses, complete and submit steps 1 and 5 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step; and

3.3.4          for all CIMA Applicable Courses, book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course within three (3) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date (for Exams on Demand) or on the next available sitting (for Exams on Sitting); and

3.3.5          for all CIMA Exams on Demand, book and commence your Free Course within 6 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP). For Exams on Sitting, book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).

4. Additional Terms and Conditions for part-time ACCA

4.1                    For the purposes of this Clause 4, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the following Applicable Courses and Exams:

4.1.1                 ACCA Knowledge;

4.1.2                 ACCA Skills;

4.1.3                 ACCA Strategic Professional Essentials;

4.1.4                 ACCA Strategic Professional Options.

4.2                     The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 4.1 above when you purchase one taught course and one revision course (where available) together as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course (excluding Online Classroom Courses) in relation to one ACCA Exam.

4.3                          Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course.

4.4                          In addition to the requirements set out in Clauses 4.1 and 4.2 or 4.4 (as applicable) above, you must:

4.4.1          for all Exams on Demand ACCA Knowledge and ACCA Skills Law Applicable Courses:

4.4.1.1             complete and submit steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step (multiple attempts permitted); and

4.4.1.2             book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an Awarding Body’s centre within three (3) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date; and

4.4.1.3             book and commence your Free Course within 6 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP);

4.4.2          for all Exams on Sitting for ACCA Skills (excluding ACCA Skills Law), ACCA Essentials and ACCA Options Applicable Courses:

4.4.2.1             complete and submit steps 1 to 6 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission date specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% (multiple attempts permitted for all steps, except for steps 4 and 6); and

4.4.2.2             book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an Awarding Body’s centre to the sitting consistent with the Applicable Course; and

4.4.2.3             book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).

5. Additional Terms and Conditions for ICAEW

5.1     For the purposes of this Clause 5, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the following Applicable Courses and the following Exams:

5.1.1              Certificate Level (CFAB): Accounting Fundamentals (ACF), Assurance Risk Fundamentals (ARF), Tax Fundamentals (TXF), Business Insight and Performance (BIP), Sustainability and Ethics (SAE) and Business Law (BLW);

5.1.2              Professional Level: Assurance Risk and Reporting (ARR), Corporate Reporting Data and Assurance (CRDA), Tax Compliance and Planning (TCP), Corporate Financial Strategy (CFS), Business Digital Strategy (BDS) and Fundamental Case Study (FCS);

5.1.3              Advanced Level: (until 31 December 2026) Advanced Case Study, Corporate Reporting, Strategic Business Management; and (from 1 January 2027 onwards) Technical Case Study (TCS) and Strategic Case Study (SCS).

5.2     The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Professional Level and Advanced Level Applicable Courses when you purchase one taught course, one revision course and the step 7 recap course Exam (which can only be purchased through BPP’s Customer Service Team) together, with at least one element delivered through a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course.

5.3     For Certificate Level Applicable Courses, your Free Course under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme can only be studied as an Online Classroom Course.

5.4     For Professional Level and Advanced Level Applicable Courses:   

5.4.1              where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course, an Online Classroom Live Course (excluding Online Classroom Courses) or a blended approach (being a taught Online Classroom Course and revision Classroom Course), your Free Course can be studied either as an Online Classroom Live Course or an Online Classroom Course; and

5.4.2              where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course, your Free Course can only be studied as an Online Classroom Course.

5.5     In addition to the requirements set out in Clauses 5.1 to 5.4 above (as applicable), you must:

5.5.1          for all Professional Level Applicable Courses and for Advanced Level Applicable Courses (excluding Advanced Level Case Study paper (old syllabus)), complete and submit steps 1 – 6 and step 8 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission date specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step (multiple attempts permitted); and

5.5.2      for Advanced Level Case Study (old syllabus), complete and submit steps 1-3 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step; and

5.5.3      book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course within three (3) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date (for Exams on Demand) or on the next available sitting (for Exams on Sitting); and

5.5.4      book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).

6. Additional Terms and Conditions for ATT

6.1     For the purposes of this Clause 6, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the following Applicable Courses and Exams:

6.1.1          Personal Taxation, Business Taxation, Business Compliance, Corporate Taxation, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates; and VAT (but excludes both Law Principles of Accounting, and Professional Responsibility Ethics papers).

6.2     The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause above when you purchase one taught course and one revision course as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course in relation to one ATT Exam.

6.3     Your Free Course can only be studied as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course (not an Online Classroom Course).

6.4     In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 6.1 and 6.2 above, for all ATT Applicable Courses you must:

6.4.1          complete the BPP Achievement Ladder steps relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% in each of these steps;

6.4.2          book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre or an Awarding Body’s centre at the next sitting (for Exams on Sitting) or within 3 months (for Exams on Demand) (as applicable); and

6.4.3          book and commence your Free Course within 6 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).

7. Additional Terms and Conditions for CTA

7.1     For the purposes of this Clause 7, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the following Applicable Courses and Exams (to the extent they are delivered by BPP):

7.1.1          Advanced Technical Level: Taxation of Individuals, Taxation of Owner-Managed Businesses, Taxation of Major Corporates, Domestic Indirect Taxation, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates, Human Capital Taxes, Cross-Border Indirect Taxation, Taxation of Larger Companies & Groups; and

7.1.2          Application and Professional Skills Level:  Taxation of Individuals, Taxation of Larger Companies & Groups, Taxation of Owner-Managed Businesses, VAT and Other Indirect Taxes, Inheritance Tax, Trusts and Estates.

7.2     The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 7.1 above when you purchase one taught course and one revision course together in relation to one CTA Exam.

7.3     Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course. Where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course, your Free Course can only be studied as an Online Classroom Course.

7.4     In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 7.2 and 7.3 above, for all CTA Applicable Courses you must:

7.4.1          complete the BPP Achievement Ladder steps relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% in each of these steps (multiple attempts permitted);

7.4.2          book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at an Awarding Body’s centre at the next sitting (for Exams on Sitting); and

7.4.3          book and commence your Free Course within 6 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).

8. Additional Terms and Conditions for AAT

8.1     For the purposes of this Clause 8, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the following Applicable Courses and Exams:

8.1.1          Foundation Certificate: Bookkeeping Transactions, Bookkeeping Controls, Elements of Costing; and Foundation Synoptic Assessment;

8.1.2          Advanced Diploma: Advanced Bookkeeping, Final Accounts Preparation, Indirect Tax, Management Accounting: Costing; and Advanced Diploma Synoptic Assessment; and

8.1.3          Professional Diploma: Management Accounting: Budgeting, Management Accounting: Decision and Control, Financial Statements of Limited Companies, Professional Diploma in Accounting Synoptic Assessment, Business Tax, Personal Tax, External Auditing, Cash and Treasury Management; and Credit Management; and

8.1.4          Diploma for Professional Accounting Technicians: Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Audit and Internal Controls, Principles of Taxation, Advanced Business Awareness.

8.2     Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course. Where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course your Free Course can only be studied as an Online Classroom Course.

8.3     In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 8.1 and 8.2 above, for all AAT Applicable Courses you must:

8.3.1          complete and submit steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step (multiple attempts permitted);

8.3.2          book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course at a BPP Study Centre (for Exams on Demand) or an Awarding Body’s centre (for Exams on Sitting) within three (3) weeks of the Official Course Completion Date; and

8.3.3          book and commence your Free Course within 6 months of you having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).

9.  Additional Terms and Conditions for CISI IOC, CISI IAD, CISI CMP, CISI Certificate in Corporate Finance, CISI Diploma in Corporate Finance, CFA, CFA UK IMC and the CFA Sustainable Investing Certificate

9.1      For the purposes of this Clause 9, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the following Applicable Courses and Exams:

9.1.1          CISI IOC;

9.1.2          CISI IAD;

9.1.3          CISI CMP;

9.1.4          CISI Certificate in Corporate Finance;

9.1.5          CISI Diploma in Corporate Finance;

9.1.6          CFA;

9.1.7          CFA UK IMC; and

9.1.8          the CFA Sustainable Investing Certificate.

9.2      Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course your Free Course can be studied as either a Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course.  Where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course, your Free Course can only be studied as an Online Classroom Course.

 

9.3      In addition to the requirements set out in Clauses 9.1 and 9.2 above, you must complete and submit steps 1 to 6 inclusive of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, before you sit your Exam, and achieve a minimum passing score relevant to that particular BPP Achievement Ladder step (multiple attempts are permitted with the exception of relevant BPP Achievement Ladder steps in CFA Level 3 and the Strategy & Advice Paper in the Diploma in Corporate Finance Qualification, which are limited to one attempt only).

 

9.4      All Online Classroom students, with the exception of students doing the CFA examinations and Strategy & Advice Paper in the Diploma in Corporate Finance Qualification, must sit the Exam within the timeframes stated on the BPP Online Classroom Study planner document for that particular paper.

 

9.5     For all  Applicable Courses, you must book and commence your Free Course within 6 months of having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).

9.6      It is agreed and acknowledged that the CFA Institute does not endorse, promote, or warrant the accuracy or quality of the products or services covered by BPP Professional Education or BPP Learning Media. CFA Institute, CFA® and Chartered Financial Analyst® are trademarks owned by CFA Institute.

10. Additional Terms and Conditions for CPI, CPPI, JIEB and ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency  

10.1     For the purposes of this Clause 10, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the following Applicable Courses and their Exams:

10.1.1                 CPI, CPPI and JIEB; and

10.1.2                 ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency.

10.2     The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 10.1 above when you purchase one taught Online Classroom Live Course (excluding a revision only course) in relation to one CPI, CPPI, JIEB or ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency Exam.

10.3     For CPI, CPPI and JIEB Applicable Courses, your Free Course must be studied as an Online Classroom Live Course. For ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency Applicable Courses, your Free Course must be studied as an Online Classroom Course.

10.4     In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 10.1 and 10.2 above, for all CPI, CPPI and JIEB Applicable Courses you must:

10.4.1   attend all lectures (live or via recordings) for the tuition element; and attend all face-to-face revision and mock days (you may attend either face-to-face or online, where a choice is offered);

10.4.2   complete and submit steps of the BPP Achievement Ladder for the Applicable Course  by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% for each step;

10.4.3   book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP); and

10.4.4   purchase hard copy materials, should you require them. For the avoidance of any doubt, soft copy materials will be provided free of charge in your virtual learning environment.

10.5    In addition to the requirements set out in Clause 10.1 and 10.2 above, for all ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency Applicable Courses you must:

10.5.1   complete and submit steps 1-4 of the BPP Achievement Ladder and all mock exams relevant to the Applicable Course by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% on each step and in each mock assessment; and

10.5.2   book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course within three (3) months of the Official Course Completion Date; and

10.5.3   book and commence your Free Course within three (3) months of having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).   

11. Additional Terms and Conditions for ICAS

11.1                 For the purposes of this Clause 11, the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme applies to the following ICAS Applicable Courses and their related Exams:

 11.1.1                 Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification;

11.1.2                 Certificate in Accountancy & Business (CAB); and

11.1.3                 Accounting and Business Professional (ABP) qualification.

11.2                 The BPP Pass Assurance Scheme will only apply to the Applicable Courses set out in Clause 11.1 when you purchase either one taught course and one revision course together; or one integrated course, as a Classroom Course, Online Classroom Course or Online Classroom Live Course in relation to one ICAS Exam.

11.3                 For the purposes of this Clause 11, the Free Course provided in respect of any Applicable Course listed in Clause 11.1 under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme shall be offered as a resit course only and shall not entitle a Qualifying Student to re-study the relevant Applicable Course in full.

11.4                 Where you studied your Applicable Course as a Classroom Course or an Online Classroom Live Course, your Free Course under the BPP Pass Assurance Scheme can be studied as either a resit Classroom Course or a resit Online Classroom Live Course. Where you studied your Applicable Course as an Online Classroom Course, your Free Course can only be studied as a resit Online Classroom Course.

11.5            In addition to the requirements set out in Clauses 11.1, 11.2 and 11.3 above, for all ICAS Applicable Courses you must:

11.5.1                     complete and submit steps 1 to 6 of the BPP Achievement Ladder relevant to the Applicable Course, by the relevant submission dates specified in the course information provided by BPP about your Applicable Course, and achieve a minimum score of 30% at each step (multiple attempts permitted); and

11.5.2                     book and sit your first Exam for your Applicable Course within the booking window or at the sitting relevant to the Applicable Course; and

11.5.3                     book and commence your Free Course at the next sitting after having taken and not passed the Exam in relation to your Applicable Course (with proof of such failure being provided to BPP).
