Frequently asked questions
Learn more about apprenticeship units. If you can’t find the answer to a question, our advisers will be happy to help.
An apprenticeship unit is a short, formally recognised training unit built from the knowledge and skills components of a full apprenticeship standard. It offers focused development, typically 30 to 140 guided learning hours, and can be delivered flexibly over anywhere between one to 16 weeks. Units can be completed as a standalone course but can also count as prior learning if a learner later progresses to the full apprenticeship from which the unit was developed.
