About the PGDL Law Conversion Course
Want to become a lawyer but don't have a law degree? No problem.
With our PGDL law conversion course, you can get what it takes to compete with law graduates, with expert training from experienced legal professionals. You’ll gain hands-on experience with the high-level legal skills and knowledge you need to progress into your legal career, while setting yourself up for further training as either a solicitor or barrister.

Entry requirements
The entry requirements for the Law Conversion Course (PGDL) are as follows:
Minimum 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) in any subject from a recognised UK institution (or overseas equivalent)
If you do not think you meet the entry requirements, but have other qualifications, strong references or relevant work experience, please contact us and we can review your options.
English language requirements
To study at BPP, it is important that you are able to communicate and engage in English effectively in an academic setting.
If English is not your first language, you will be required to provide proof of your ability – for reading, writing, listening and speaking in English.

Dates and locations
Please note, our Cambridge study centre does not qualify for a student visa.
Full-time: Our full-time programme is taught over eight months and you will typically receive between eight to 10 contact hours per week in small group workshops. In addition to this contact time, students will be required to complete approximately 30 hours of independent study per week.
Part-time: Our part-time programme is taught over 20 months. We offer a variety of part-time options including evening, weekend and online study. You will typically receive four contact hours per week. In addition to this contact time, you will be required to complete approximately 10-12 hours of independent learning per week.
Fees and funding
2024-2025 academic year
A deposit of £350 will need to be paid within 48 hours of accepting your offer on all our courses, to secure your place.
In addition to your fees, there may be additional charges associated with your studies if you need to resit a BPP assessment.
