You’ll learn what you need to perform your role at the highest level, building expert level skills across the full software development lifecycle. Using advanced skills in programming and application development, combined with the ability to engineer data for effective software development, you’ll design and build software solutions that are secure, robust and take your organisation’s digital capabilities to the next level.
You’ll cover cloud engineering, DevOps, and technical test engineering, giving you full capability to take complex software concepts all the way through to final deployment and integration.
Backing up your technical expertise, you’ll develop a broad base of knowledge that will allow you to influence and manage digital technologies and software teams within your organisation.

Where will the programme take you?
On successful completion, you’ll be able to operate at a high level in software engineering roles to encourage growth in your organisation through new products, services and productivity by using digital technologies. You’ll also have academic progression opportunities to research and doctoral degrees.
Who's eligible?
To apply for this programme you must be employed in a relevant role.
Eligibility can vary depending on the requirements of the individual employer, but typically includes:
• A minimum of a 2:1 Honours degree in a related subject (e.g. STEM) from a UK or recognised international university, or
• Applicants with less than the required level of academic qualification may be considered if they have significant work experience and/or a relevant professional qualification in the field of software engineering
GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C) in English and maths are also required.
