Entry requirements
The entry requirements to study the BSc Applied Management are as follows:
A minimum of 112 tariff points through the following qualifications:
Minimum grade 4/C in English language and maths or equivalent
BBC or equivalent; or
A minimum of two full A-levels and a maximum of four subjects being completed (excluding General Studies)

Global Business Fundamentals (20 credits)

Business Finance for Managers (20 credits)
Build the skills needed to understand financial information for managers in any discipline, to assist them with planning, control, and decision making.
Leadership in Practice (20 credits)
This module is designed to encourage you to explore the world of the leader, building your own understanding and insights, relating these to both your own experiences of leadership and the leadership of those responsible for developing their organisations.
International Business in the Global Economy (20 credits)
Focus on the key and latest topics in international business in the context of the global economy.
Data Analysis and Management Decision Making (20 credits)
Get an in-depth understanding of the key concepts and theoretical frameworks in business, with a focus on business analytics in particular. Develop an awareness of the latest trends in data analytics, whilst providing you with insight into how business analytics operates in ‘real world’ contexts.
Entrepreneurship and Innovation (20 credits)
In this module you will develop a critical understanding of theories of entrepreneurship in a range of contexts from new business start-ups to not-for-profit organisations.
Applied Management Business Report Proposal (20 credits)
Produce a proposal for your final project, outlining the area of investigation, research questions, types of information to collect and how the information will be used.
Strategic Management Sustainability and Ethics (20 credits)
Studying this module, you will be introduced to the tools for conducting strategic analysis in a variety of industry contexts and competitive situations. You will explore key concepts of business strategy, and the theories and techniques used in analysing industries, competitors and organisations.
Applied Management Business Report (40 credits)
During the Applied Management Business Report module, you’ll develop an understanding of the process involved in successfully scoping and planning an individual personal report, collecting and analysing information, and compiling a business management report.
How you'll study
Contact hours
Students will typically receive 12 contact hours per week and will need to devote at least 36 hours a week to study.
Learning materials
All required learning materials are provided online as part of the course fee. This reflects modern working practices and minimises our environmental impact. Print on demand versions are available for students with specific learning needs.
Types of assessment
The programme features a variety of assessments including coursework and examinations. Coursework is in the form of essays, reports or case studies, while group or individual presentations may be required to assess other competencies. Examinations will be with written elements or multiple-choice questions and may be unseen or part-seen, where assessment material is released in advance.
BPP University offers flexibility in how these assessments are undertaken, and the programmes will utilise online tools where available to deliver assessments. On occasion, some assessments may require attendance at a physical location.
