Entry requirements
The entry requirements to study the MSc Digital Marketing are as follows:
A minimum of 2:2 honours degree from a UK or recognised international university; or
An equivalent qualification at level 6 or above

Professional and Digital Skills for Marketing Practitioners (30 credits)
Develop a strong base in the fundamental concepts and applications of digital marketing. You’ll learn to blend traditional marketing knowledge with the digital and professional skills needed to enter the digital marketing workforce.
Search Marketing and Demand Generation (15 credits)
You’ll explore the principles of Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), email marketing and e-commerce. You’ll gain a depth of knowledge on the relative strengths and weaknesses of online and offline marketing channels.
Social Media Marketing (15 credits)
Learn what it takes to plan, execute, manage and report on social media campaigns.

Digital Marketing Analytics and Planning (30 credits)

Digital Business Strategy and Management (30 credits)
As the task of managing digital marketing and digital teams is intricately linked to the broader strategic challenges facing businesses today, this module encourages you to engage with both current and classic strategic theories to understand the context of strategy in business organisations.
Explore the strategies companies need to build a recognisable brand identity in a digital world and learn how you can harness data to help with problem-solving and stakeholder communication. You’ll bring together everything you’ve learnt into a piece of work that demonstrates you have what it takes to work in senior management role.
Brand Building in the Digital Age (15 credits)
In this module you will be introduced to the strategy, frameworks, and tactics companies must develop to build their own brand and become competitive in a digital world.
Data-Driven Decisions in Marketing (15 credits)
This module provides you with the numeracy and data fluency skills you need to analyse, evaluate and initiate data analytics and decision-making projects in an organisation.
Business Project (30 credits)
Consolidate your learning and experience to date with the opportunity to demonstrate the commercial and business acumen needed to succeed and develop at senior management levels.
Embedded in the 18-month option, the PDP programme can contribute to your success at finding jobs and post-study work visa opportunities. It provides a structured approach to professional development, helping you gain the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to sustain a career in your chosen field.

How you'll study
Contact hours
Depending on your modules, you will typically have around ten contact hours per week. You’ll also need to undertake 28 hours of independent study per week.
Learning materials
All learning materials are supplied as part of the course fee. All other learning materials are provided online, to reflect modern working practices and minimise our environmental impact. Print on demand versions are available for students with specific learning needs.
Types of assessment
The programme features a variety of assessments including:
Coursework
Examinations
Coursework is in the form of essays, reports or case studies, while group or individual presentations may be required to assess other competencies.
Examinations will be with written elements or multiple-choice questions and may be unseen or part-seen, where assessment material is released in advance.
BPP University offers flexibility in how these assessments are undertaken, and the programmes will utilise online tools where available to deliver assessments. On occasion, some assessments may require attendance at a physical location.

The full-time option of this programme lasts for 12 months. The extended 18-month option with PDP offers additional skills workshops, employability activities and opportunities for practical training.

A deposit of £350 will need to be paid within 48 hours of accepting your offer, in order to secure your place.
