Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI)

From an important first step in an insolvency career to an excellent starting point for JIEB examinations, our high-pass-rate programme provides a practical professional introduction, as well as raising your profile through membership of the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

The CPI qualification

You will explore both personal and corporate insolvency matters with this certificate study. And with over 25 years’ experience in preparing students for their CPI exams, we’ll equip you with solid skills that demonstrate your ability and help further your career. Your insolvency competence is evaluated by a single three-hour paper – held twice a year, set by the Insolvency Practitioners Association (IPA). 40 percent of the paper is allocated to multiple-choice and short-form questions, while the remaining 60 percent is based on essay-style questions. In terms of focus, two-thirds will be on corporate insolvency, and the final third related to personal insolvency. In addition to the CPI, we also offer the CPPI for those that want to specialise in personal insolvency.
