Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT)

The  Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT)  is a conversion test that enables lawyers qualified in certain countries outside England and Wales, as well as UK barristers, to qualify as solicitors and practise in England and Wales. In an increasingly competitive market, lawyers with a dual qualification are able to offer a more comprehensive service to their clients.

As the market-leader in QLTT training, BPP is proud to offer the widest range of courses and study options available. We have been accredited as an examining body for the QLTT since 1997 and our QLTT Tutors are experts in their field, with a proven track record in preparing candidates for the QLTT Tests.

Transition to QLTS

Please note that the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT) and the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Regulations (QLTR) were replaced on 1 September 2010 by the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS).

The QLTT assessments are, however, still available for candidates who applied for a Certificate of Eligibility from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) before the old regulations came to an end on 31 August 2010. Any applications submitted after this date will be governed by the new QLTS.

You can study for the QLTT Tests with BPP until August 2013.
