Apprenticeship Overview
With our Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship, you’ll gain a broad range of knowledge and skills of the essential components that make up IT operations – enabling you to support the business’ IT infrastructure in a helpdesk role.
This apprenticeship will build your skills across network configuration, virtualisation and cloud, software installation and testing, data management and cyber security.
Key to an end-user centric role, you’ll develop strong communication and problem-solving skills, being able to identify and undertake fault diagnosis and rectification, as well as continual maintenance and updates to hardware and software, ensuring seamless service delivery.

Where will the programme take you?
Upon completion you’ll have a solid foundation to build a successful career in IT support. You’ll also be able to progress into a more specialist field and expand your options further through the Level 4 Network Engineer or Level 4 Cyber Security Technologist.
Who's eligible?
Eligibility can vary depending on the requirements of the individual employer, but typically includes:
A minimum of five GCSEs with grades 9 to 4 (A* to C), including English and maths

Relevant work experience
