Course overview
The ICAS Accounting & Business Professional (ABP) qualification is a professional designation that combines technical accounting and business knowledge with practical workplace experience. Designed for learners looking to build capability in accounting, finance and business, ABP provides a recognised qualification and a pathway to future progression onto the ICAS CA qualification.
To achieve the ABP designation, learners must complete (or be exempt from) the ICAS Certificate in Accounting & Business (CAB) and complete 12 months of Relevant Practical Experience (RPE), with a minimum of 150 days in an appropriate role. Successful learners can use the ABP designation and apply for ICAS Affiliate status. [AC1]
Please note:
To achieve the ABP designation, learners must complete (or be exempt from) the ICAS Certificate in Accounting & Business (CAB) and complete the required Relevant Practical Experience (RPE). Learners who complete the CAB requirements but do not complete the RPE requirements will be awarded the CAB qualification rather than the full ABP designation.
