BPP was recently granted university college status by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).  This is in recognition of our role as a specialist provider of higher education.  We will be known as BPP, although our full name will be BPP University College of Professional Studies Limited.  This status is a protected title and is granted as a reflection of BPP as a degree awarding body.

Our status is unique in that BPP is 100 percent privately owned - unlike other providers, who may receive government funding, or who may be affiliated to another university.

The change in status is a more accurate reflection of the activity of BPP as we expand our remit in higher education and it helps to secure our status as an active participator and key influencer in the wider UK Higher Education sector.
