The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) professional accounting qualification is globally-recognised. BPP University has strong links with the ACCA and offers a number of programmes to enable you to achieve your professional qualification whilst also enjoying university life.

BPP University’s Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance [ACCA route] programme is fully accredited by the ACCA and has been designed to provide you with core knowledge in key areas to ensure that you have the skills to go on to complete the qualification with ACCA.

The nine modules of the Advanced Diploma align to each of the nine Fundamentals Level papers (F1 to F9) of the ACCA professional accounting qualification. For each module successfully completed during the course, you will qualify for an exemption for the relevant paper from the ACCA. So you could leave with a Diploma from BPP University and exam passes in ACCA papers F1 to F9, by exemption. This means you would be on your way to becoming a qualified ACCA professional accountant and able to progress onto our BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance [Top-Up], MSc Accounting and Finance programme or ACCA Professional Level Papers.

Your Accounting and Finance Diploma [ACCA route]

BPP University’s Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance [ACCA route] programme is fully accredited by the ACCA and has been designed to provide you with the core knowledge in the key areas of accounting and finance to ensure that you have the skills to go on to complete the qualification with ACCA.

This programme has been designed so that the nine modules of the Advanced Diploma each align to one of the nine Fundamentals Level papers (F1 to F9) of the ACCA professional accounting qualification. For each module successfully completed during the course, you will qualify for an exemption for the relevant paper from the ACCA.

So you could leave with a Diploma from BPP University and exam passes in ACCA papers F1 to F9, by exemption, meaning you would be a part exam-qualified ACCA Professional Accountant and enabling you to progress onto our BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance [Top-Up], MSc Accounting and Finance or ACCA Professional Level Papers programmes.

Awards System

The Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance [ACCA Route] is awarded on successful completion of all nine modules of the qualification, by BPP University exam or by accredited prior learning.

Exemptions

This programme has been designed so that the nine modules of the Advanced Diploma each align to one of the nine Fundamentals Level papers (F1 to F9) of the ACCA professional accounting qualification. For each module successfully completed during the course, you will qualify for an exemption for the relevant paper from the ACCA. Upon completion of this programme you could be exempt from papers F1 to F9, giving you a head-start on your accountancy career.

Progression

Upon successful completion of this programme you may choose to:

  • Join our one year BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance [Top-Up] programme, which enables you to extend your studies to earn a full honours degree
  • Join our MSc Accounting and Finance, which accepts completion of or exemption from ACCA Papers F1 to F9 as a valid point of entry. Students opting to study the MSc Accounting and Finance, will have the opportunity to study for the ACCA Professional Level papers alongside their Masters degree
  • Join our ACCA Professional Level Papers Programme, which prepares you to take ACCA Professional Level exams with the ACCA.

Multiple start dates and flexible entry points

If you have already started your journey to becoming an ACCA exam qualified accountant, this programme includes flexible entry levels to recognise any ACCA exams you may have completed. Educational background

Students wishing to obtain the Advanced Diploma in Accounting and Finance [ACCA route] will require:

  • Two A-Levels and three GCSEs or equivalent (grade C or above) in five separate subjects, including Maths and English OR;
  • A Foundations in Accountancy (FIA) qualification (with which students will enter directly into term 2); OR
  • Passes/Exemptions in ACCA papers, which will allow students to enter the programme in either term 2 or term 3 depending on the number of papers completed

English language Requirements

If your first language is not English and you do not hold an honours degree that was delivered in English, you will be required to provide certified proof of ability in written and spoken English to, at least, IELTS level 6.0 (overall) or equivalent in addition to the above entry requirements.

If you have the minimum overall IELTS of 6.0 or equivalent, you will be required to attend In-Sessional Academic Skills classes, alongside the programme during the first term of studies, at no additional cost.

If you meet the entry criteria but do not have the requisite English Language (IELTS 6.0 or equivalent) we can offer you an extended diploma to include Pre-Sessional English.

Alternatively, if you have IELTS 5.5 (or equivalent), you may be eligible to join the English for Finance Professionals programme.

 

Teaching beyond coursework

At BPP University, we have a dedicated Careers Service in place to give students an ‘edge’. This comes in the form of professional support and guidance given in a range of ways, which together ensure you have a rounded and professional approach to finding and securing a graduate role when you finish your studies.

The Careers Service provides one-to-one consultations, mock interviews and career events. You can even receive advice on preparing your all-important CV, filling in application forms and essential interview techniques.

Just as importantly, you are also offered ‘Career-Ready Skills’ workshops throughout the year. Developed with employers, the skills taught have been identified as those critical to the success of organisations and cover everything from negotiation and presentation techniques to time management.

It’s never too early to start learning all the essential skills you’ll need to secure a position, which is why you can begin taking advantage of our careers services as soon as you have accepted a place at BPP University and continue to access the Careers Service for 12 months after you leave.

BPP University Students' Association has thousands of members with students across all ten BPP University sites and studying online. Every student of BPP University automatically becomes a member of the Students' Association when they start their programme. Additional Charges

Undergraduate Loans

UK students applying for our Undergraduate courses can apply for Tuition Fee Loans and Maintenance Loans to help cover the cost of tuition fees and living costs whilst studying (subject to eligibility). Tuition Fee Loans are also available for EU students.

If you are applying for a programme beginning before September 2017:

You can apply for a tuition fee loan up to a maximum of £6,000 (full-time) or £4,500 (part-time) per academic year. For students from Northern Ireland, the maximum tuition fee loan available is £3,805 per academic year.

If you are applying for a programme beginning in September 2017 or onwards:

You can apply for a tuition fee loan up to a maximum of £6,165 (full-time) or £4,625 (part-time) per academic year. For students from Northern Ireland, the maximum tuition fee loan available is £3,805 per academic year.
