International Extended Degree

Our International Extended Degree's in business combines our International Foundation Certificate in Business Management with your chosen undergraduate business degree. During the first year of the programme you will study the International Foundation Certificate in Business Management covering a range of essential subjects that will offer you a thorough grounding in the skills that underpin your degree. These include English Language, Study and Communication Skills, plus core academic subjects.

The International Extended Degree is awarded by BPP University.

The International Extended Degree in Business Management is the ideal preparation if you are an international student wishing to pursue a UK university education, but need to improve on your academic and English language skills before you start.

In your first year, you will study the International Foundation Certificate in Business Management. On successful completion of your International Foundation Certificate you will progress to one of the following undergraduate business degrees:

Help adjusting to university life

We realise that moving from another country to the UK will be both exciting and daunting. That's why we aim to make this transition easier for you, by encouraging social and cultural integration in the UK through a range of activities.

What's more, you'll receive additional personal support from our International student advisers, who will help you to adapt to life, learning and the requirements of studying for a UK degree.

You'll also have a personal tutor and a fellow student partner who you can study with while on the programme.

Teaching and assessment

While you are getting used to studying in the UK, we want you to have as much contact time with your tutor as possible. This is why we provide small group seminars and workshops for 16 hours every teaching week throughout the first year. If you have questions or are finding any subject difficult you can receive extra support.


Entry requirements

You must be 18 years or over on commencement of the programme and have completed a minimum of 12 years of schooling with evidence of good grades

English language

  • English language requirement for those applying from outside the UK, whose first language is not English: IELTS score of 5.5 overall (with 5.5 in writing) or equivalent

Founded in 2011 after a year of consultation with and design by students, our new Students' Association is home to thousands of students across all ten BPP University sites, and studying online.

Every student of BPP University automatically becomes a member of the Students' Association when they start their programme.

The Association aims to put you – the student – at the heart of everything BPP University does, giving you:

  • Information, support and guidance about your academic and personal life.
  • Academic, cultural, social and professional enrichment through the development of clubs, societies, events and initiatives.

Fees for the International Extended Degree in Business Management and International Extended Degree in Accounting and Finance:

  • £50,000 for the full four-year programme.

UK or EU students

If you are from either the UK or an EU country then you should apply for the Pathway Certificate in Business Studies.

A deposit of £250 will need to be paid within 48 hours of accepting your offer, in order to secure your place.

Additional charges

In addition to your programme fees, there may be additional charges associated with your studies, which include:

  • Resit fees for exams £75
  • Resit fees to repeat a 15-credit module £400
  • Resit fees to repeat a 20-credit module £530
  • Resit fees to repeat a 30-credit module £800
