Transitional arrangements
Credits obtained under the previous exam structure (pre May 2009) are valid for four sittings from the date the credit was achieved. The transitional arrangements will apply up to and including the November 2010 sitting.
Credits obtained pre May 2009 will carry through into the new syllabus as follows:
Paper 1
A credit in Paper 1 will equal a credit for the Awareness paper.
Paper 2
A credit in Paper 2 will equal a credit in both Advisory papers, however the Awareness paper will still need to be taken. If a Paper 2 credit expires before the Awareness paper is passed, you will need to sit the Advisory and Awareness papers under the new examination structure.
Paper 3
A credit in Paper 3 will be the equivalent of a credit in the Application and Interaction paper.
Paper 4
A credit in Paper 4 will give you exemption from both E-Assessments (Ethics and Law).
For further details on credits contact the CIOT. To apply for credits you will need to complete the CIOT credit application form.
