Professional Skills Course (PSC)

The BPP Professional Skills Course (PSC) is the final stage of your compulsory training to become a solicitor – preparing you for a smooth transition to life in a legal firm. The programme is designed to give you the variety, choice and flexibility to equip you with the practical skills and knowledge to progress in your chosen career.

Higher Rights of Audience (HRA)

A BPP Higher Rights of Audience course prepares you for the assessments that lead to the Higher Courts Advocacy Qualification. This will enable you to represent clients in the Senior civil or criminal courts. The qualification not only means a convenient, cost-efficient and complete service for your clients, it enhances your professional capabilities, standing and fee-earning potential too.

Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test (QLTT)

The QLTT is a conversion test that enables lawyers qualified in certain countries outside England and Wales, as well as UK barristers, to qualify as solicitors to practice in England and Wales. The QLTT will be fully replaced by the QLTS on 1st September 2013.

Qualified Lawyers Transfer Scheme (QLTS)

The QLTS is transfer scheme which enables qualified lawyers from a wide range of jurisdictions (including barristers qualified in England & Wales) to qualify as a solicitors of England and Wales, without going through the domestic route to qualification.

New York Bar (NYB)

Passing the New York Bar Exam will enhance your profile and your potential employment opportunities both in the US and the UK. BPP offers the New York Bar course in partnership with Pieper. It fully prepares you to pass these challenging law exams and is tailored to lawyers who haven’t studied in the US.

Bar Transfer Test (BTT)

The Bar Transfer Test (formerly the Bar Aptitude Test) is the transfer test for solicitors and qualified lawyers from international jurisdictions who wish to qualify to practise at the Bar of England and Wales.
