Become JIEB qualified
Insolvency Practitioners come from a variety of professional backgrounds, though many have started off as an accountants or solicitors. The JIEB qualification prepares you for the varied and challenging work of an insolvency practitioner.
Whether you opt for JIEB classroom tuition, online distance learning or a combination, you'll discover that our passion for teaching matches your enthusiasm for success.
Gain your Practitioner's Licence
In order to qualify for the coveted Insolvency Practitioner's Licence, you must have passed all three Joint Insolvency Examination Board (JIEB) exams.
You can attempt all three papers at one sitting, or split the papers over two years. However, you must pass at least two JIEB papers during the same sitting in order to complete the qualification.
You will also need to satisfy the practical requirements of your Recognised Professional Body (RPB) or the Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform (BERR) or the Department for Enterprise, Trade and Industry (DETI). Requirements can differ, so it's important to look into these before you start your studies.
Introductory courses
If you're new to insolvency and are planning to take the JIEB, you could consider taking one of our one-day insolvency awareness courses first, or considering the CPI, CPPI or ICAEW Certificate in Insolvency.
Designed to help students understand what insolvency is, they are particularly useful if you are changing career or discipline from other areas of practice. Choose from:
