Our Extended Masters programme includes our Pre-Masters Diploma, which will help you improve your academic English language and study skills. Once you successfully complete the Pre-Masters Diploma, your progression onto one of the following is guaranteed: MSc Management, MSc Management with Finance, MSc Management with Project Management, MSc International Marketing. You can also apply for our Academic and Career Skills module, gaining valuable work experience for up to six months as part of your course.

The Extended Masters degree is awarded by BPP University.

Key Information

Educational Background

The programme is for overseas students who have successfully completed at least two years of higher education in their home country (equivalent to a Higher National Diploma in the UK).

We understand that moving to a new country can be a daunting prospect, so we make every effort to ease your transition to the UK. The programme encourages social and cultural integration with a range of activities. You'll also have a personal tutor to help you with academic and pastoral matters throughout the programme.

How the programme is taught

To enhance your learning experience, classes are taught in small seminars by tutors and lecturers from both professional and academic backgrounds. In your first year you will have a minimum of 16 hours face-to-face tutor contact each week, with regular feedback throughout the programme.

Self-study is also vital to your learning. For this you'll be supported by extensive online materials which you can access through our virtual learning environment – anytime anywhere.

Extra learning support

Progress reviews are part of the tutorials and tutors are always there to help with your academic progress. If International student advisors are also available to help you with a wide range of queries adapt your learning style to the requirements of a UK masters degree.

Ways to study

Our Extended Masters is a full-time programme lasting two academic years, combining face-to-face teaching with self-study. If you choose to include the academic and Careers Skills Module your study period will be two and a half years.

Face-to-face classes are taught at our study centres in London. You will study your first year in Shepherd's Bush London and your second year in our London City study centre.

You can start this programme in September, January or May.

Pre-Sessional English course available

Our Pre-Sessional English course is designed for international students who want or need to improve their English before beginning their BPP University degree or foundation programme. Successfully passing the course will guarantee you progression on to your chosen degree programme without needing to re-take any external English language tests. You will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge of general and academic English and develop your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills

  • Understanding Economics and Business (15 credits)
  • Business Accounting (15 credits)
  • People in Organisations (15 credits)
  • Operations Management (15 credits)
  • Diploma Project and Report (Business-based) (30 credits)

Entry requirements

English language

  • IELTS score in all components of at least 5.5 or equivalent

If you do not think you meet the entry requirements, but have other qualifications or work experience, please contact us and we can review your options.

Paying for your programme

September 2016 onwards:

Extended Masters (MSc management, MSc Management with finance, MSc Management with Project Management and MSc International Marketing) £19,815

Extended Masters (MSc Accounting and Finance) £27,000

A deposit of £250 will need to be paid within 48 hours of accepting your offer, in order to secure your place.

2nd Instalment, payable 6 weeks before the start of the programme

Additional charges

In addition to your programme fees, there may be additional charges associated with your studies, which include:

Resit fees for exams £75
Resit fees to repeat a 15 credit module £400
