Teaching and tutors
Our Masters in Marketing focuses on practical teaching underpinned by relevant academic theory. So you'll be taught by experienced marketing practitioners, as well as guest speakers who'll share the latest marketing insights.
We've designed the course so time is split evenly between lectures and small group sessions where you'll have ample opportunity to discuss lectures in more detail. You'll also get the opportunity to take part in other activities – for example, a simulating business exercise which puts theories from the course into practice.
Course materials
All MSc Marketing lectures and support materials are available through our online Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Through the VLE you'll be able to recap, revise and access our comprehensive e-library of marketing texts, whenever and wherever suits you.
Study programme
This one-year full-time course requires attendance for 12 hours per week with an additional day for your own personal study. Start dates are available in January and September each year.
The course is divided into three stages:
- Stage One – Three core modules give you an overview of marketing theory and practice, consumer behaviour and competitive intelligence for the marketer.
- Stage Two – Delve deeper into advanced marketing strategy and important contemporary disciplines such as brand management, marketing communications and global marketing.
