The vision and purpose of the GMP is to develop a world class marketing qualification for the marketing professional, as demanded by business, worldwide. The Global Marketer Programme is designed to prepare participants thoroughly for a rewarding career in marketing and ensure they can make a profitable contribution to business, wherever they work in the world.

Over the past two years GMN and Ashcroft International Business School at Anglia Ruskin University in the UK have undertaken a worldwide consultation exercise with senior marketing and business thought-leaders from academia and practice, recruiters and employers, to understand what they require from today’s marketing professionals. This has resulted in the development of the Global Marketer Programme - a full, validated, practice-led qualification leading to an MSc Global Marketing Practice. This Programme will enable marketing professionals to play an important role at the heart of any organisation, regardless of where they are in the world.

GMN’s key activities include:

  1. Realising the aspirations of marketers worldwide
    - by recognising and rewarding educational and professional achievements through a Global Professional Membership Structure;

    - including a structured Continuing Professional Development Scheme enabling employers to insist on the best and most up-to-date professionals;

    - wherever they live in the world, and throughout their careers, by enabling you to be more knowledgeable, capable and better networked, leading to improved employability, promoteability and, ultimately, rewards

The Global Marketer Programme includes:

  • A handbook designed to give you all the information you need to achieve success
  • A comprehensive Study Text for each module guiding you session-by-session through each module and preparing you for your assignment
  • A personal E-Tutor to guide, encourage and develop your thinking and provide guidance for your assignment
  • Access to The Global Marketer virtual learning environment providing you with a week-by-week plan of study for each module, with access to articles, case studies, additional learning activities and a global discussion forum connecting you with other programme participants
  • Access to the Anglia Ruskin University digital library, providing access to an extensive range of online databases, world leading journals and E-books
  • Access to the GMN online network with all the latest news about approved conferences, workshops and events that you can attend to support your continuing development.

The Global Marketer Programme consists of a Graduate Diploma Global Marketing Practice, a 120-credit qualification equivalent to the final year of an Undergraduate Degree, specifically designed for participants with little or no understanding of core marketing principles who are currently pursuing a career in marketing. The MSc Global Marketing Practice, aimed at participants who have demonstrated an understanding of core marketing principles and are who operating at strategic level or aspiring to do so, is the pinnacle of the programme and is a flagship 180-credit Masters qualification.

The Global Marketer Programme is offered over three semesters per year. Subject to meeting our entry criteria you can commence the programme in any semester.
