The Federation of Tax Advisers (FTA)
A great introduction! Take this qualification if you
are a practitioner wishing to acquire a broad basic tax knowledge
or if you are a student considering a tax career.
The Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT
examinations)
Just embarking on a tax career? Want to learn more about one
particular area of tax? Consider taking one or more of the
ATT's six stand-alone tax papers. You will be awarded a Certificate
of Competency for each paper that you pass. If you gain two years'
relevant work experience, pass three papers (two core and
one optional), and also pass e-assessments in Law and
Professional Responsibilities + Ethics you can use the designatory
letters ATT and describe yourself as a Taxation Technician.
The Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT)
Studied tax before? Working as a tax professional? Already
qualified with a professional organisation? Why not now sit the
gold standard in tax qualifications? There are several routes to
qualification as a Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) depending on your
area of specialism and, if you have already passed exams with other
bodies, you may well be exempt from certain CTA exams.
The exams are modular and can be sat either individually or in
any combinations which means that you can study for this
prestigious qualification as flexibly as you wish.
