QLTT (the Qualified Lawyers Transfer Test) is a test of legal
competence and knowledge that is designed to enable solicitors from
certain overseas jurisdictions and barristers from within the UK to
practise as solicitors in the UK.
The UK Solicitors Regulation Authority is responsible for the
qualification and authorises various colleges to provide training
and operate the exam. The Solicitors Regulation Authority also
assesses the eligibility of candidates wishing to register for the
QLTT and grants any relevant exemptions.
