Association of Accounting Technicians
Founded in 1980, the AAT, promotes and represents the interests
of accounting technicians. Accounting technicians work at various
levels in accounting practice, industry and commerce and in the
public sector. They may lead the accounting and finance function,
particularly in small and medium sized enterprises.
The AAT is supported in its aims by the UK-based chartered
accountancy bodies (CIPFA, ICAEW, CIMA and ICAS).
Over the last year since the launch of the QCF syllabus for AAT,
many colleges have turned to BPP Learning Media study materials to
support their delivery, and found that the materials are the best
fit for the new scheme, and many more are planning to make that
switch in September. The main reasons for this are:
- The proximity of our online question bank to the actual
assessment environment
- Lecturer support via our lecturers
extras resources and support
notes
- User-friendliness and accessibility of format and language
- Value for money and affordability
- Abundance of practice assessments
Our focused Texts and Question Banks
also come with free access to the eBook version of the Text, and
the Online Question Bank.
Important information: AAT Old Standards
The AAT have extended the deadline for students with units
outstanding on the old NVQ and Diploma pathways.
They now must complete these units by 30th September 2011 (was
30th June 2011).
This extended deadline is for the completion of outstanding
simulations and or projects.
Since July 2010 the AAT’s assessments have fallen within the
Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) and most papers are now
assessed by way of an on demand computer based assessment.
Transferring to the new standards will prevent you from having
to complete within time constraints.
