BPP's Law School - Manchester

Manchester and the North West is one of the biggest employers of lawyers in the UK outside London. It is home to many of the leading national firms and a diverse range of specialist firms, as well as some of the top commercial and industrial companies, all of which have increasing opportunities for newly qualified lawyers.
Our Law School in Manchester is conveniently located in the centre of town and is highly accessible both for those who live and work locally and those who intend to commute from around the region.
Why study in Manchester?
-
Manchester has world-class museums and galleries including the Museum of Science and Industry, Urbis, the Imperial War Museum North, the Whitworth Gallery and the Manchester Art Gallery.
-
For connoisseurs of classical music and the theatre, the Bridgewater Hall is home to the Halle Orchestra, while the Royal Exchange Theatre and the Lowry along with a range of smaller venues host a range of entertainment.
-
Manchester is one of the best shopping cities in the country, with the imposing Arndale Centre and huge Trafford Centre, clusters of boutiques in the hip and happening Northern Quarter, and designer stores around Exchange Square and King Street including Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.
-
The legendary Manchester nightlife is better than ever, especially with the number of gigs played every night. The endless array of bars, pubs and clubs, from the traditional to the trendy, rival anything in London –don’t miss the incredibly cosmopolitan Canal Street. Meanwhile, no one need ever go hungry with the range of restaurants available throughout the city.
-
Manchester is sports mad: it hosted the Commonwealth Games in 2002, has the choice of Manchester City or United for football (each with a state of the art stadium), hosts test and county cricket at Old Trafford, has local teams in both rugby league and rugby union, and the popular Manchester Phoenix ice hockey team is one of the top clubs in the country.
-
There are plenty of leisure centres and gyms around the city, and the Pennines and Lake District are in easy reach for outdoor pursuits or just leisurely visits. For cheap days out, North Wales and the Lancashire coast offer the traditional seaside entertainments.
-
The Law School is situated close to the main train stations with regular local and national services, and the city’s excellent public transport system, including cheap buses and trams and easy access to the international airport, means easy commuting for all students.
