| Position: | Visiting Lecturer |
| Tenure: | Self employed freelance basis. The positions will suit those who are flexible. Teaching duties are likely to be in the evenings (6-9 pm) or at weekends (9 am-6 pm). |
| Programme: | Either:
The Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), the academic conversion course for those with a non-law degree background. The Legal Practice Course (LPC), the vocational training course
for those intending to practise as Solicitors. |
| Subject vacancies: | We are seeking individuals with professional practical experience to supplement our extensive full and part-time teaching teams. You will be involved in teaching and/or examining and/or curriculum development. Teaching roles are likely to relate to practise areas, such as interviewing skills, advocacy, practical legal research etc. |
| Essential Skills and Attributes: | You must be a qualified solicitor or barrister with at least two years PQE. Previous teaching experience is not essential but you must have a strong academic background, excellent communication skills and a desire to be involved in the training of the future generation of lawyers. |
| Desirable Skills and Attributes: | Teaching experience (not essential as full training will be provided). |
| Remuneration: |
Hourly fees depending on the course and tasks that are undertaken. An hourly fee for teaching duties is typically £85 per hour. |
