On completion of the AAT Accounting Qualification, you can
take
your career further by continuing
on to another professional qualification.
The AAT will entitle you to claim exemptions, which will help
you complete your next qualification sooner.
Continue your studies with BPP on one of the following
qualifications:
ACA
Become a Chartered Accountant
The ACA qualification covers
business, accounting and tax. On completion, you can become a
chartered accountant in industry or practice, giving professional
advice and making high-level strategic decisions. Note, your
company must complete a training contract in order for you to
complete the ACA.
Exemptions*
You may be exempt from up to five Knowledge Level papers,
depending which optional units you choose at Technician Level.
ACCA
Become a Chartered Certified Accountant
ACCA is an internationally recognised
and respected accountancy qualification. The final level will
enable you to specialise in particular areas, such as tax and audit
- a good option for students who want to work in public practice
and industry. This qualification is recognised internationally and
is the ideal choice if you wish to work abroad.
Exemptions*
You can claim exemption from three exams in the Knowledge
module.
CIMA
Become a Chartered Management Accountant
CIMA is designed to prepare employees
for a career in business by creating financially qualified
business leaders who are able to operate in all areas of an
organisation. With its focus on the practical side of management
and accountancy, it is also suitable for those wishing to take
their career into a more general management role.
Exemptions*
You will be exempt from five exams in the CIMA Certificate
level.
ATT
Become a Taxation Technician
Completing the ATT will give you
knowledge of the basic tax system. This qualification will enable
you to competently carry out tax services for self-employed
individuals (sole traders) and businesses, either working in a
professional practice, industry and commerce, or the public
sector.
Exemptions*
As a full AAT member who has passed Unit 18, you will be
awarded a credit for ATT Paper 2 Business Taxation and Accounting
Principles.
Alternatively, once you've completed your AAT, you can keep your
knowledge up to date and enhance your leadership and development
skills with our professional
development courses.
* All exemptions are awarded by the relevant institute.
