Sarah Roberts
Qualifications: FCCA
Career History:
Sarah qualified in 2002 with ING while working in Private
Equity/Venture Capital. She joined BPP in Guernsey as a tutor
in 2002 teaching tax and financial reporting across a wide variety
of qualifications. Over the years her portfolio has expanded
to include bespoke in-house training for clients including
Specsavers and Northern Trust and Professional Development
courses. In 2005 she became the Managing Director of BPP in
Guernsey. In 2009 Sarah has joined the International Faculty
as a Director with one of her roles being ACCA Programme Director
in the Netherlands.

Louise Cookson
Qualifications: ACCA AMCT
Louise moved to Jersey in 1998 and spent four years working in
industry and studying towards her ACCA qualification, which she
completed in 2001 with Arthur Andersen.

Jonathan Dingli
Qualifications: B. Accty (Hons) MIA CPA
Career History:
Jonathan is a qualified Bachelor of Accountancy (Honours) from the
University of Malta with first class honours. He worked for a
number of years with KPMG Malta during which he was assigned on a
number of high level clients both locally and overseas. He is
presently the Malta Institute of Accountants’ Technical Director.
He joined the Institute as a Technical Officer in May 2005.
Jonathan is currently a lecturer with BPP Malta, having also
lectured P2 for BPP Poland in 2008.

Simon Emery
Career History
Simon graduated from Southampton University with a 2.1 in Maths,
qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1987 with KPMG. He then
spent 18 months writing accounting and auditing standards for the
Lloyds of London Insurance Market. Joined BPP in 1989
teaching Financial Reporting and Auditing for all accountancy
qualifications including ACCA. He was involved in setting up
the first regional BPP office in the UK in 1992 in Bristol and
became the Managing Director of this office in 1996. From
2002 onwards Simon was head of UK regions, expanding this role to
include International offices from 2004. In 2009 Simon left
BPP to set up his own training and consultancy business, Ridgeway
Tuition Limited. In his spare time he enjoys keeping fit,
open water competitive swimming, equestrian eventing, cooking,
eating and drinking.

Erica Gibbon
Career History
Erica Gibbon, also a member of the ICAEW, qualified with BDO
Binder Hamlyn in Manchester, UK. As an auditor she was responsible
for clients in the manufacturing, financial services, and
not-for-profit sectors. She also spent some time in the corporate
tax group before leaving to work as accountant for Save The
Children.
In 1994 Erica moved to Romania where she became Management
Accountant and Human Resource Manager for PricewaterhouseCoopers.
There she was responsible for delivering audit, accounting and
human resource training for several PwC offices, both within the
region, and on their European Training Programme in Portugal. In
1999 Erica joined BPP and moved to Slovakia. Erica specialises in
international financial reporting, tax, management development and
human resource training.

Richard Gibbon
Career History
Richard Gibbon is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) having qualified with
PricewaterhouseCoopers in Manchester, UK. He moved to PwC Romania
in 1994 where he was senior manager of the banking audit
department, also with responsibility for a range of privatisation
projects and several international manufacturing clients.
Promotion to managing director of PwC in Kazakhstan followed,
where he was in charge of the office and all clients. Having always
been fully involved in the development of his staff, and having
found the experience rewarding, Richard decided to take his career
in this direction, joining BPP in 1999. Together with Erica, he
established the BPP office in Slovakia. As a tutor, Richard
specialises in financial management, management accounting and
international financial reporting.

Margaret Osei
Qualifications: ACMA
Margaret is an associate member of CIMA with years of experience
in all aspects of financial management. She obtained her Bachelor
of Commerce Degree from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana where
she worked with Billiton Bogosu Gold Mining Company and Coopers
& Lybrand (PwC) as a trainee accountant.
She later travelled to UK to pursue professional accounting
qualification with CIMA. She worked with different Organisations on
various assignments as financial and management accountant. She
spent the last 4 years working for Hackney Council Leasehold
Services as a Finance & Administration Manager. She is
currently resident in the Netherlands where she teaches CIMA, and
ACCA F2 and F5 for BPP.

Abby Taylor
Qualifications: CAT ACCA
On her return to Guernsey, Abby joined a private equity company.
During her time with them she completed her CAT and ACCA
qualifications.
Juan Gamecho
Juan graduated from the Cardiff Business School before beginning
a career in investment banking in the City of London. Having worked
initially in structured finance and subsequently in Corporate
Finance of Hill Samuel Bank & NM Rothschild, he moved to
Romania in 1997 with Charterhouse Bank as country manager. In 1999
he joined the European Bank of Reconstruction & Development in
Romania. Juan has been working with BPP for a number of years and
specialises in management strategy.

Ros Aala
Qualifications: MA DipCG FCA
Career History:
Ros Aala worked in audit with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Plymouth,
UK and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in
England and Wales (ICAEW). He travelled extensively with PwC on
assignments in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan
and South Africa as well as working in their training department in
London, where he developed internal accounting, audit and personal
development training courses. Ros conducts leadership and
development courses for the Royal Air Force in the UK. He joined
the BPP team in Slovakia in 2000 and specialises in audit,
corporate governance, international accounting, leadership skills
and marketing.
