Why CIA?

Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) is the only globally accepted designation for internal auditors and remains the standard by which individuals demonstrate themselves and meet today’s workplace challenges. Moreover, earning the CIA designation is more than just proof of what you know and what you have achieved.

CIA Syllabus

The CIA qualification is structured in four parts. Parts I, II, and III are considered the core global syllabus of the CIA exam, while Part IV is designed for modification for regional and audit specialization testing.

CIA Course Dates

BPP organises CIA courses for Part I, II, III and IV in both Slovak and English languages. Our courses are accredited by the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic.

Eligibility Requirements

CIA recipents represent the elite of internal audit profession and therefore some eligibility requirements must be met. All CIA candidates must have the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree or its educational equivalent form an accredited college-level institution
  • Character reference form a qualified individual
    Minimum of two years of internal audit experience

CPE Points

The Board of Regents requires that after CIA certification maintain their knowledge and skills and stay abreast of improvements and current developments in their area of certification through Continuing Professional Education (CPE). This is facilitated through a self-certification process with the completion and reporting of required CPE hours on a biennial basis.
