Career history:
Ros Aala worked in audit with PricewaterhouseCoopers in
Plymouth, UK and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered
Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He travelled extensively
with PwC on assignments in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia,
Kazakhstan and South Africa, as well as working in their training
department in London, where he developed internal accounting, audit
and personal develpment training courses. Ros conducts leadership
and development courses for the Royal Air Force in the UK. He
joined the BPP team in Slovakia in 2000 and specialises in audit,
corporate governance, international accounting, leadership skills
and marketing.

Irena Teneva
Qualifications
ACCA
Career history:
Irena Teneva graduated from Sofia University with a BA in
Business Administration. She gained her ACCA qualification in
June 2004 while working in the audit department of Ernst
& Young Bulgaria, and later worked in internal audit at the
Bulgarian Telecommunication Company. Irena joined the BPP team
in 2005 and she is based in Bulgaria.
She teaches accounting, performance management and audit both in
Bulgarian and English. In December 2008, Irena prepared and
presented a tailored course on IFRS update in Bulgarian for Petrol
Holding AD. Before that, she prepared and delivered tailored
finance for non-finance courses for the legal department of Ernst
& Young, OMV and the sales team of Goodyear Dunlop Bulgaria.
Irena has a rich international teaching experience; she
has taught in Slovakia,
Turkey, Greece, Romania, the Channel Islands,
Poland, the Netherlands, Ghana and Nigeria.

Georgi
Kirilov
Qualifications FCCA CF
Career history:
Georgi is a fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified
Accountants (ACCA). He is a Corporate Finance (CF) qualified member
of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales
(ICAEW) and holds a Masters in Accounting and Finance from the
London School of Economics (LSE). He has completed level 1 and
2 of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), the US business
valuation certification institution.
Georgi has significant professional experience in accounting,
consulting and corporate finance areas. He worked for seven years
in London and Geneva, prior to returning to Bulgaria at the end of
2005, where he spent three years as a Manager of the Financial
Advisory Services of Deloitte Bulgaria, leading due diligence,
valuation, and buy and sell side advisory engagements for major
international and Bulgarian clients such as EON, KBC Bank, Magyar
Telecom, BTC, BBB Group, Business Park Sofia, OCK, Gorubso Madan,
SEAF, Mercuirus, etc.
He specialises in corporate finance, performance
management and management accounting.

Erica
Gibbon
Qualifications BA FCA
Career history:
Erica qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ICAEW) while working
in audit and tax with BDO Binder Hamlyn in the UK. She was
subsequently Management Accountant and Human Resource Manager for
PricewaterhouseCoopers in Romania before setting up BPP operations
in Slovakia in 1999. Erica specialises in teaching IFRS Accounting
and Tax, and as a qualified practitioner of Neuro Linguistic
Programming she also has a keen interest in Personal Development
Coaching.

Alexander
Fawcett
Qualifications ACCA
Career history:
Alex has significant professional experience as an IFRS and ISA
consultant and training expert. He has worked on a numerous
international projects related to IFRS and diverse accounting
reforms in many countries in Central Asia, in Russia, Ukraine,
Armenia, Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Lithuania and Macedonia.
In Azerbaijan, Alex was involved in a project for converting local
accounting standards to IFRS. Later on, Alex was working on an EBRD
project advising banking sector in Macedonia on IFRS. In Russia,
Alex was involved with ACCA and the Institute of Professional
Accountants of Russia to work on a curriculum reform and capacity
building for the accounting profession. Alex was working with the
Asian Development Bank to develop an accounting technician’s
qualification with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal.
In Armenia, Alex was an advisor helping to reform the local
accountancy qualification as part of a project sponsored by USAID.
Alex has also been an ACCA marker and trainer for a number of
years. He specialises in financial reporting, audit and assurance
and corporate governance.
Aled Joyce
Qualifications
ACMA
Career history:
Aled is an experienced Commercial Accountant who qualified ACMA
while working overseas in the late 90s. Following several years in
the British Army and experience in various industrial positions, he
commenced his accounting career while with the Post Office in 1985.
Since then he has had several Senior Management Commercial
positions in the UK, Eastern Europe and Asia Pacific. The subjects
he teaches are Financial Accounting, Management Accounting,
Economics and Law.

Jonathan Snary
Qualifications FCA
Career history
Jonathan is managing director of BPP's centre in the Czech
Republic. He qualified as a Chartered accountant in 1997 with
PricewaterhouseCoopers where he worked in their corporate finance
department. He joined BPP in London in the same year and later
moved to BPP's largest regional office in Bristol, where he became
director of CIMA studies. Jonathan moved to join BPP in the Czech
Republic at the end of 2000, having taught in Central and Eastern
Europe since 1997.
Jonathan has many years of teaching experience in business,
IT and management faculties.
