Computer Based Assessment (CBA)
BPP Professional Education organises Computer Based Assessments for CIMA at study centres around the UK and elsewhere in Europe. Click here to book a CBA .
CBA is a new method of testing CIMA syllabus. Assessments are set and controlled by CIMA but administered by BPP. The regulations for and the contents of the assessment are set by CIMA.
Certification
If you are successful in your CBA, BPP will immediately notify CIMA that you have passed that paper. Once you have passed all the necessary papers at Certificate level you will be issued with a certificate by CIMA. This is the Certificate in Business Accounting and CIMA formally recognises it as a stand alone qualification in its own right, or, as the entry route into the Professional qualification.
You should be aware that the normal exemption rules apply if you wish to proceed with your Professional studies at the next public sitting. You must submit your certificate before 1st March if you wish to sit papers in May and 1st September for the November sitting. Additionally, you must also have sent your exam entry form in by the normal deadlines, and state on your form that you are applying for exemptions.
