Whilst studying for your ACCA exams, it is now possible to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Accounting awarded by Oxford Brookes University. BPP Learning Media is the approved publisher for the Research and Analysis Project Text, which is part of our range of targeted ACCA study materials for this exciting new scheme. To accompany this, BPP Professional Education organises one day seminars. You should have already heard from the ACCA about your eligibility to apply for the degree. If you have not received a letter, or are unsure about your status, further information is available from the ACCA website.
What you need to do
- Register with ACCA.
- Pass the required ACCA exam papers.
- Select and complete a Research and Analysis Project based on a Report (of 5,000 words) and a Key Skills Statement (of 1,500 words). The BPP Research and Analysis Project Text includes the official list of 22 recommended topics.
- Identify and work with a mentor – the BPP Research and Analysis Project Text will help you identify a suitable mentor and suggest how you can most effectively operate.
Note: Please contact your local BPP centre for details on course information and prices.
Project Seminars
Project seminars are one day seminars, which offer a unique introduction to the Research and Analysis project. Available from BPP Professional Education in London, Leeds, Birmingham and Nottingham centres, they are offered to small groups of students and are very much a seminar, requiring student participation, rather than a lecture.
For further information about the seminars, please contact Duncan Haigh on 020 7520 7344 for details or email duncanhaigh@bpp.com
The BPP Mentoring Service During the course of your project work, you must have a minimum of three meetings with a mentor, who can be an ACCA member, your employer or line manager, or your tutor. BPP has a team of export mentors at various locations (contact your local centre for details). Please note that, due to demand, the mentoring service in London is only available to those students who attend BPP’s London seminar. For further details please contact Duncan Haigh on 020 7520 7344 for details or email duncanhaigh@bpp.com
