International Foundation Certificate (IFC) & Extended International Foundation Certificate (EIFC)


Entry Requirements:

  • Successful completion of 12 years of education with at least 5 credits in the WAEC or NECO

English language:

  • Extended IFC: IELTS score of 5.0 in all components or equivalent
  • IFC: overall IELTS score of 5.5 or equivalent

Undergraduate programme requirements

To apply for an undergraduate (three year programme except BSc (Hons) Banking and Finance) programme at BPP you need to have one of the following:

  • Suitable UK Foundation Course (60% minimum).
  • International Baccalaureate, UCAS equivalent tariff points.
  • National Diploma (in a suitable subject), with Upper Credit.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) with Lower Credit or Upper Credit. If HND is not in a subject directly related to BPP degree programme students may be considered for Year One entry only.
  • Completed Year One (Level 100) of Nigerian Bachelor Degree. Student should have GPA at 2.2 level or above

Plus a Pass score in Maths at Secondary School level.


English requirements:

  • Student for Business Degrees must have SSCE (WAEC) English Language C6 or SSCE (NECO) English Language B3 (in this case, your English language ability will be assessed through BPP’s English language test).
  • Students for Law Degrees must have a minimum of C4 in the WAEC English Language or B3 in the NECO (in this case, your English language ability will be assessed through BPP’s English language test).

To apply for an undergraduate (Accelerated two year programme and BSc (Hons) Banking and Finance) programme at BPP you need to have one of the following:

  • Suitable UK Foundation Course (75% minimum).
  • International Baccalaureate, UCAS equivalent tariff points.
  • National Diploma (in a suitable subject), with Distinction.
  • Completed Year One (Level 100) of Nigerian Bachelor Degree. Student should have GPA at 2.5 level or above.

Plus a Pass score in Maths at Secondary School level.


English language:

  • Students for Business and Law Degrees must have a minimum of B3 in the WAEC English Language or B2 in the NECO (in this case, your English language ability will be assessed through BPP’s English language test).


Students who do not meet above stated entry requirements at the levels stated can enrol into our Extended Degree Programme in Law or Business. If you hold a WASSC (WAEC) you need to enrol into our Extended Degree Programme.

To be considered for direct entry into Year Two of an Undergraduate Bachelors Degree, students need to have the following:

  • HND or OND in a related subject. The HND  in a related subject can be accepted into the second year,  The OND in a related subject can be accepted into the first year of the degree programme

Pre-Masters Diploma

Entry requirements:

  • NQF Level 5 qualification or
  • HND or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree with a Third Class

English language:

  • IELTS score of 5.5 in all components or equivalent OR WAEC/NECO with minimum of C6 in English Language

 

Postgraduate programme requirements

To apply for a postgraduate conversion programme e.g. MSc Management all pathways or MSc International Marketing at BPP you need to have one of the following:

  • Bachelor Degree minimum 2.2 Grade required.
  • A recognised Professional Qualification.
  • Applicants without a first degree but with suitable relevant work experience may also be considered on for some Masters programmes.

English language:

  • IELTS 6.5 / TOEFL 575 (paper Based); 232 (computer based); 90 (internet based) / WAEC English C6 or SSCE (NECO) English Language B3 or proof that their higher education was taught and assessed in English medium (in the last two cases, your English language ability will be assessed through BPP’s English language test).

Students who do not meet above stated entry requirements at the levels stated can enrol into our Extended Masters Programme in Law or Business.


Pre-Sessional and in-sessional English language programme

BPP offers English language support for students who do not meet the English language entry requirements for undergraduate or postgraduate degrees.


Professional Qualifications


ACCA (Association of Certified Chartered Accountants)

Entry requirements:

  • Two 'A' Levels and three GCSEs or Equivalent in five separate subjects

Or

  • Mature Student Entry Route (MSER) Replacement

The introduction of the Diploma in Accounting and Business, with open access through Foundations in Accountancy will replace the current Mature Student Entry Route (MSER) of the ACCA Qualification for students who do not meet the ACCA Qualification minimum entry requirements. Students must pass FAB, FMA and FFA (in no particular order) before progressing onto F4 of ACCA.

Registration:

  • Students must register with ACCA either

1) ACCA Knowledge if met the minimum entry criteria Or 2) FIA Diploma in Accounting in Business if minimum entry criteria is not met

English language: Students must have SSCE (WAEC) English Language C6 or SSCE (NECO) English Language B3 or proof of higher education in English medium.


GDL (Graduate Diploma in Law)

Entry requirements:

  • UK Degree Holder: Minimum 2:2 honours degree (or equivalent) in any subject from a recognised UK institution.
  • International honours degrees: Equivalent to minimum 2:2 UK honours degree (or above) and Certificate of Academic Standing (COAS) from the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) or BAR Standards Board (BSB).

English language:

  • Students whose first language is not English need an IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent) with a minimum level 6.0 in each component.

LPC (Legal Practise Course)

Entry requirements:

  • Qualifying law degree (minimum lower Second Class Honours), or
  • Qualifying non-law degree (minimum Lower Second Class Honours) and GDL or CPE, or
  • Similar qualification such as ILEX/FILEX
  • Obtain a Completion of Academic Stage from SRA

English language:

  • Students whose first language is not English need an IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent) with a minimum level 6.0 in each component.

BPTC (Bar Professional Training Course)

Entry requirements:

  • Qualifying law degree (minimum lower Second Class Honours), or
  • Qualifying non-law degree (minimum Lower Second Class Honours) and GDL or CPE,
  • Membership of an Inn of Court by 31 May of the year you wish to start the BPTC.

English language: Students whose first language is not English or Welsh need an;

  • IELTS score of 7.5 in all components of the test, or
  • TOEFL (internet-based) score of minimum 28 in each part of the test, or
  • Pearson Test of English(academic) score of minimum 73 in each part of the test.
