Parents and schools
A BPP Apprenticeship is a superb opportunity for school or college leavers to learn and earn. It helps them kick-start their careers, learn valuable practical skills and gain qualifications without going to university.
How does it work?
Alongside work, apprentices study relevant qualifications with BPP. We’ll make sure they have all the knowledge they need to pass each exam, with constant support in class and at work.
Why an apprenticeship?
Not everyone can take the academic route to a career in business, finance or accountancy. And an apprenticeship offers a great alternative for those wanting to study without the burden of university debt. Many Apprenticeships feature Level three qualifications and Higher Apprenticeships feature Level four or five – equivalent to part of an undergraduate degree.
And in many careers such as Accounting, Payroll and Financial Services, the qualifications gained as part of the Apprenticeship provide exemptions to the first level of a professional qualification – for example, Chartered Accountancy.
And for apprentices between the age of 16 and 18, training could even be free.
What does BPP offer?
BPP offers Apprenticeships in:
- Apprenticeship in Accounting
- Apprenticeship in Business and Administration
- Apprenticeship in Customer Service
- Apprenticeship in Payroll
- Apprenticeship in Team Leading and Management
Right for your child or pupil?
A student must meet certain criteria to qualify as an apprentice. Find out if you child or pupil is eligible.
A key starting point is to find employment that’s relevant to your child or pupil's apprenticeship. There are many pathways and you might already be in an eligible role. If not, you can use:
- the Apprenticeship Vacancy Matching Service (AVMS)
- recruitment agencies
- careers services
- websites such as Not Going To Uni.
For more help, please see the advice sections on the pages for the apprenticeships we offer.
Why choose BPP for apprenticeships?
At BPP we’re committed to training business professionals throughout their careers – helping them maximise their potential with a relentless focus on quality. That’s one reason why, in 2010, we became the first private provider in 30 years to be granted university college status by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS).
The same goes for our Apprenticeships. Our teaching is delivered by highly qualified tutors who bring subjects to life with their own practical experience. They’re supported by innovative training materials – including online lectures – ensuring study fits around work.
What’s more, BPP apprenticeships offer support, counselling and mentoring during and beyond the programme.
This includes a Work Based Assessor team who are:
- trained in assessment
- trained in Health and Safety, and counselling skills
- occupationally competent to fully advise apprentices
- required to visit the workplace on a regular basis.
