Accountancy qualifications
For accountancy qualifications, the apprentice must attend BPP courses – either online or in person – for the whole Apprenticeship.
The apprentice must also:
- complete an initial assessment to determine which level to start at
- complete the relevant level of an Apprenticeship AAT before moving onto the next level
- complete an Employees Rights and Responsibilities (ERR) and Be Safe workbook.
Key skills
The apprentice may also have to complete essential Key Skills – in Communication, and Application of Numbers and possibly IT – which consists of two exams and two portfolios.
If required, the process for this is:
- initial assessment to determine level
- diagnostic test to determine weaker areas
- learning resources issued for additional practise
- online exams at BPP Centre
- completion of portfolios.
Completion of Key Skills isn’t necessary if the apprentice has achieved a grade A-C in Maths and English at GCSE or A Level in the last five years.
