Computer Based Exams (CBEs)

ACCA Computer Based Exams

Many of our study centres are licensed by ACCA to organise and administer CBEs. Developed by ACCA in 1998 this innovative exam format has many advantages and by choosing a CBE you will benefit from:

  • More flexibility - With CBEs, you are not restricted to the paper-based June or December exam sittings. You can sit your exam at a licensed BPP CBE centre near you at any time.
  • Instant results - On completion of a CBE your results will be displayed immediately on screen. Your BPP centre will then inform ACCA of your results by uploading them onto the ACCA CBE system.

With the above flexibility in mind, our centres schedule an extensive list of CBEs dates at different locations to ensure you find the most suitable dates.

Mature Student Entry Route (MSER) - if you have registered under this scheme (your student card will say MSER at the top) then note that you must have passed F2 and F3 before you can enter for the F1 exam. If you are unsure of your status please contact ACCA for clarification.

You can sit CBEs for the following ACCA papers:

  • F1 - Accountant in Business
  • F2 - Management Accounting
  • F3(UK) - Financial Accounting (United Kingdom)
  • F3(INT) - Financial Accounting (International)

Exam facts

  • Duration: two hours
  • It contains 50 questions
  • Pass mark: 50%
  • CBEs contain multiple choice questions, multiple response matching questions and number entry questions
