Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business

The Certificate in Finance, Accounting and Business (CFAB) has been developed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). The qualification aims to give you fundamental knowledge of finance, accounting and business regardless of the occupation you work in.

Benefits of CFAB

  • No academic qualifications required.
  • Flexible course structure.
  • Apply for Credits for Prior Learning at www.icaew.com/cfab
  • Complete the qualification between 6 months and a year, or faster with credits.
  • Progress onto the full ACA qualification.
  • Computer Based Assessments which can be sat at a time that's convenient.

The CFAB structure

The qualification is made up of six modules taken from the Knowledge level of the ICAEW's ACA qualification. The modular structure gives you flexibility to take modules in any order, which means subjects relevant to your role can be taken first.

Who can take the qualification?

Anyone can take CFAB. It is ideal for people working in a related role or intending to take an accounting qualification. Equally for those not working in an accounting or finance role CFAB will give you a broad understanding of business.

BPP is offering the CFAB qualification with a choice of three study options:

  • Classroom learning
  • Distance learning
  • Combined classroom and distance learning.

Integrated classroom course

BPP's integrated classroom courses combine tuition and revision along with support outside the classroom.

  • Courses are held on a weekday.
  • An ideal option if time out of the workplace can be taken.
  • Experienced tutors guide you through the syllabus, relating it to real life examples.
  • Class interaction and participation will provoke thought and questions that will ultimately help with understanding the subject.

The study materials include: Course Companion, Access to BPP Learn Online, ICAEW Study Manual, ICAEW Question Bank, Passcards, E-Test and Final Mock.
