Amanda Blackmore

Amanda qualified as a solicitor in the corporate tax department of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP and worked at the firm for six years before joining BPP in 1997. 

Amanda has been the module leader for Business Law and Practice, Private Acquisitions, Revenue Law and Business Accounts and has also taught legal writing and drafting and other skills on the Legal Practice Course at BPP.

Amanda was appointed as Director of LPC programmes in 2001, a Board Director of BPP University College of Professional Studies Limited in 2002, Deputy Chair in 2008 and Deputy Principal in 2011.

Amanda has been a Law Society external examiner and has sat on a number of Law Society committees. In 2007, Amanda was awarded the Diploma in Company Direction by the Institute of Directors.

Most recently, Amanda has been heading up the development of a number of BPP initiatives, including: international and home pathway programmes for students who wish to qualify to start one of BPP's degree programmes; Minors in Psychology as part of our LLB and BSc Business Studies degrees; and the development of a range of programmes for BPP's School of Health including degrees in nursing and psychology and a Certificate in Healthcare Assistance.
