AAT

Courses - Accountancy

We have delivered AAT accountancy training for over 10 years, with the majority of BPP students achieving above the AAT worldwide average. Whether you are already working in an accounting role or looking to this field for career options, the AAT Accountancy qualification is ideal to give you the skills to competently carry out an accounting role.

To maximise your success we recommend you follow our Steps to Success, which will encourage you to take a structured approach to your exams, giving you the knowledge and tools to succeed.

Step1-Learn Step2-Revise Step3-Practise
  • Step 1 - A classroom or distance learning course will give you knowledge and understanding of the syllabus.
  • Step 2 - A revision course reinforces key points of the syllabus and teaches you how to apply the knowledge you have learned to exam standard questions, whilst giving tips to improve your exam technique.
  • Step 3 - included in the revision course is a mock exam. This is the final preparation for the real exam and will highlight areas you need to concentrate on.

When planning your course it’s worth considering following these steps. In our experience, BPP students who follow these steps consistently achieve better pass marks.

Two routes into the qualification

Diploma route

Anyone can take the Diploma Pathway. This route has been created for people of all ages, whether you are working in an accounts related role or not.

NVQ route

Although anyone can follow the NVQ route it is most suited to you if you already work in a finance related role. You will need to put together an accounting portfolio, which is a record of relevant work experience gained in accountancy and can be used to claim competency in some skills test units.

This route is also suitable if you are between 16 and 22 years old as you can study under our apprenticeship scheme.

What qualification will I get once I’ve finished the course?

On successful completion of the qualification you will be awarded with the AAT Accounting Qualification.
